Even though Friday the 13th falls upon us this week, we’re lucky enough to have tons of exciting events going on! Relax and unwind with DIY workshops or find high energy parties. Monday, April 9
  • Need help implementing awesome ideas? Join keynote speaker Steve Garguilo at TEDxPhiladelphia’s Action Surge Workshop – Putting Ideas Into Action. You’ll learn how to face fears, alleviate anxiety, and learn techniques to bring your ideas to life.
  • Learn how to make all-natural lip balm using herbs you can grow at home. Presented by Urbanstead, this lip balm workshop is a hands-on fun activity. All participants will make their products from scratch and be able to take home two tubes of lip balm.
Tuesday, April 10
  • Join Beaucycled at Frankford Hall for the Big Beers and Bigger Planters Succulent Workshop. All are welcome to this DIY succulent workshop. For only $20, you’ll get all supplies needed, including lots of knowledge on how to have your two new succulents thriving!

Wednesday, April 11
  • The POWER of Professional WoMen (POWER) presents Be a Better Leader, Have a Richer Life at the Union League. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the delicate work/life balance. Dr. Stew Freidman is the Director of Wharton’s Work/Life Integration Project and he will present a game plan on how to have improved performance yourself.
  • Prepare for laughs and top southern cuisine at SoulComedy at Warmdaddy’s. The evening will feature live stand-up and music, drink and appetizer specials, giveaways and more. Be sure to reserve your seats in advance.
Thursday, April 12
  • The 29th season of Thursday Night Rides at Belmont Plateau Trails is kicking off! This popular event happens every week through Thursday, August 30. Open to the public, all are welcome to grab their mountain bikes to explore the trails of this beautiful park.
  • The Philadelphia Career Fair begins at 10 a.m. at the Hilton Hotel in Bala Cynwyd. Meet local and regional companies, including those in the Fortune 500, with immediate job openings. Admission is free, but make sure you register to this opportunity.
Friday, April 13

Saturday, April 14
  • For the first time ever, the 6th Annual Food Truck Pop Up will be on a weekend! Hosted by Dining Out For Life Philadelphia, the delicious food truck festival starts at 11 a.m. at 13th and Locust. 33% of sales for the day to will be going to Action Wellness.*
  • DId you know… most people only spend about 17 seconds looking at a piece of art. Philadelphia Museum of Art joins Slow Art Day, a global event designed to promote the art of truly seeing. Starting at 10 a.m., find activities like meditation, yoga and slow sketching provided throughout the museum.

Sunday, April 15
