Every year, there’s pressure to top last year’s holiday party. Luckily for you, 2017 has been the year of bigger and better things in Philadelphia. There are plenty of new spots in town that are guaranteed to bring festive cheer and great memories.

SPiN Philadelphia

Forget the image of nerdy ping pong tournaments. SPiN brings a hip, urban feel to the sport. In the heart of Rittenhouse Square, this venue has 12,000 sq. ft. with 16 ping pong tables, lounge areas throughout, a full-service bar, delicious food, and catering options.

Yards Brewery and Taproom

If you haven’t had the chance to see the new Yards Brewing headquarters, you’re guaranteed to be wowed. Newly opened on November 16, this location boasts more than 70,000 sq. ft. of space at 500 Spring Garden Street. Expect the same quality beers with over 20 on tap, plus a robust bar menu by Chef Jim Burke.

Mad Rex

For an other-worldly experience, head to this post-apocalyptic-themed Fishtown bar and restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a full-on sensory experience. Start with their striking cocktail list and choose from the locally-sourced menu. Don’t miss a chance to grill your own meats on a 700-degree lava rock or taste ice from from a pink himalayan salt rock bowl. End your night with a spin in the one-of-a-kind virtual reality room!

Vault + Vine

Nestled in the quaint neighborhood of East Falls, this shop/cafe/gathering space is dedicated to sustainability and hyper-local sourcing. As a B-Corp business, they are certified to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This ultra-Instaworthy space specializes in floral design, home goods and specialty gifts, so you know you’re in good hands.

Fishtown Brewpub

Right off of bustling Frankford Avenue, this brewpub makes their own fresh, hoppy ales inside an old elevator factory. Aside from the brews, there’s no shortage on the food front here. The menu offers elevated bites, such as duck confit perogies, sriracha wings with bonito ranch, roasted Atlantic cod, and more.

Yakitori Boy*

Even though they’re not new to the game, Yakitori Boy is one of our favorite holiday party spots. In addition to amazing Japanese izakaya and inspired cocktails, let your guests entertain themselves with hours of song and dance. #EatSingDrink! A major bonus is that there’s no reservation fee, even during the busy holiday season. Depending on the size of your party, the space can accommodate up to 150 people.
