Every year, the Golden Globes kick off Awards Season in full style. The Hollywood Foreign Press celebrated the 74th annual ceremony last night on January 8, 201, hosted by Jimmy Fallon. We’d have to agree with La La Land being the big winner of the night, especially with its shining star Emma Stone at the top of our Best Dressed list. See who else made the cut…
Emma Stone in Valentino
Her pink gown, emblazoned with tiny stars, was whimsical yet elegant, which matches her personality to a tee. Madison loved the blush color that matched perfectly to her complexion and gave the look an ethereal feel.
Mandy Moore in Naeem Khan
Kate is a big fan of a slimming, monochromatic look, and Mandy Moore perfected it on the red carpet last night. Don’t mistake it for boring though. It was anything but basic with a plunging neckline and caped sleeves.
Evan Rachel Wood in a bespoke Altazurra suit
Sam’s favorite fashion movement of the night was when ERW proved that women can rock a suit. Women can look beautiful without having to show skin. There were many fantastic message of the night, but the best style quote was by ERW on the red carpet, “I’m not trying to protest dresses. But I wanted to make sure that young girls and women know that they aren’t a requirement. And you don’t have to wear one if you don’t want to. And to just be yourself because your worth is more than that.”
Viola Davis in Michael Kors
Busy Phillips in Stella McCartney
This dress seemed to hit all the right notes for Victoria: fun, sexy and playful yet completely appropriate. The embroidered floral pattern and yellow satin clutch added just the right amount of fun and playfulness, contrasted by a plunging neckline. Balanced with long sleeves and a long train, we are a big fan of this number.
Lily Collins in Zuhair Murad
By far one of the most haute couture looks of the night, Lily Collins’ dress stood out most to Ashley. From the dusty rose color to the lacy details, this beautiful dress was a stunner for sure.
Christine Evangelista in Gauri & Nainika
Joanie LOVED the deep crimson color of The Walking Dead star’s gown. Plus, the creative high-low neckline and long beautiful train made this dress a perfect fit for the night!
