On Thursday, November 6, the Philly PR Girl team headed to the Philadelphia Convention Center for the 2016 Pennsylvania Conference for Women.* This year, the Philly PR Girl team had the honor of representing the conference as their official PR liaison. This gave us a chance to work up close and personal with the amazing conference leaders and speakers. Additionally, Philly PR Girl continued to be a social media ambassador for the event. For the third consecutive year, we joined the Penn Women Street Team to live tweet the exciting moments of the day!
As expected, conference day was inspiring and filled with a diverse group of 9,000 girl bosses. We were especially thrilled at the opportunity to hear from all-star Olympian, Abby Wambach, the brave Anita Hill and the hilarious Mindy Kaling. Each woman (and man, Adam Grant, you were great!) we heard from was intelligent, empowering and – let’s not forget – hilarious! To pass on the motivating wisdom we gained from the conference, we’ve put together a list of some of our favorite tweets from the conference.
How to be a successful giver 1. Think differently about giving. 2. Have the right people around you. 3. Ask for help. @AdamMGrant #PennWomen
