Monday, January 25
- If you’re still trying to get into your New Years resolution of exercising more (or even if you’re a yoga pro), head to the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Charles Santore Branch for Monday night yoga for all levels! This class is with a certified instructor, and welcomes adults and teens. Don’t forget to bring your own mat!
- We live for food here at Philly PR Girl, so we’re excited for Flavors of Philly! City Food Tours is welcoming all to take part in a tour that travels around Philly so you can try the delicious food our cultural city has to offer.
Tuesday, January 26
- Join us at Fogo de Chao with Independence Business Alliance for the January ConnX Event! Network with LGBT professionals while enjoying a nice Brazilian meal with drinks at a cash bar. This event is free for IBA members and $15 for non-members.
Wednesday, January 27
- Laugh with your friends and family by going to the Helium Comedy Club to see comedian and Sirius XM 109 personality, Kenny Zimlinghaus! The show begins at 8:00 p.m. Must be 21 years or older, or accompanied by a parent if you’re 18-20.
- Take the family on a movie date and head to Xfinity Live! for their family movie night! The featured film this week is Disney Pixar’s Up! (bring some tissues for the first 10 minutes). The event is FREE admission, FREE popcorn, and FREE parking! The show is from 5 to 8 p.m.
- The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event called Growth Matters, discussing the manufacturing in our region with leaders in the industry and stakeholders from sections linked to it. Listen to expert speakers and connect with others to talk about collaborations and opportunities. You can even join in on the conversation on social media by using the hashtag, #GreaterGrowthMatters.
Thursday, January 28
- Fashion lovers! Are you interested in the business of the fashion world? Then go to Bridging Creative Design and Entrepreneurial Success hosted by Nineteenth Amendment at Drexel University. Philadelphia Inquirer fashion columnist Elizabeth Wellington will be moderating the event that will be discussing the fashion industry and the business side of the services it offers. Have questions? Friday, January 29
- Get ready to see the cute kids of Philadelphia strut their stuff! Philadelphia Kids Fashion Week begins, and it’s benefitting the Ronald McDonald House and the Leah Still Foundation. Leah Still will be walking in the runway show, so you don’t want to miss all of the adorable outfits. This year, the show is at Black Soup Studio’s in Germantown!
- Network with hundreds of young art lovers and leaders in Philadelphia at Young Professionals Night: Into the Blue. There will be musical performances and an after-hours event where you can indulge in conversation and displays of some of your favorite classic art pieces by Matisse and Picasso. Make sure to wear blue!
Saturday, January 30
- We all miss the ’90s, and now is our chance to experience it again! Dress up in your best throwback attire and go to a 90’s Bar Crawl! With a general admission ticket, you get a signature mug, exclusive drink specials, and no cover charges! But get your ticket now, because the price increases as the day gets closer!
- Go to The Clover Market at the 23rd Street Armory to shop for antiques and vintage finds! Be sure to go hungry because there will be local food trucks parked right outside. There is even an indoor cocktail bar (brunch style) which overlooks the venue. The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and happens again on Sunday, January 31.
- The Philadelphia Auto Show is back and starts this Saturday! Walk around the 700,000 square-foot display floor while viewing over 700 luxury and classic cars. You can even do test drives on the streets of Philadelphia in some of the cars featured! You don’t want to miss this annual event.
Sunday, January 31
- Did your boyfriend just pop the question? We’re calling all bride-to-be’s to go to a Winter Wonderland Wedding Expo at the Renaissance Hotel! Enjoy a runway show filled with gowns and tuxedos, cake tests by the Renaissance Chef, introductions to the best wedding venues, and many more. There will be raffles, giveaways, surprises, and best of all, champagne! This amazing expo is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
