December: It’s the holly jolly month where we deck the halls and change all of our Spotify playlists to holiday music. The 1975
This British rock band has been around for years and years, but truly made a name for themselves after their most recent, self-titled album debuted in 2013. Now they’re making a name for themselves with celebrity fans like Taylor Swift and One Direction. Here’s to hoping they bring some famous faces with them when they take the stage at the Fillmore on December 5!
Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz
She’s just being Miley, and she can’t be tamed. Along with The Flaming Lips, Miley will bring the psychedelic party to the Electric Factory on December 5, performing songs off her new album. And from what we’ve seen of Miley lately, we can bet that this will be a show to remember!
Kid Cudi
A favorite at the Philly PR Girl office, Kid Cudi is back on tour and heading to The Fillmore on December 8. After you see him perform, we guarantee that you’ll be singing and rapping his songs all Day N’ Nite!
City and Colour
Dallas Green is practically a legend in the music scene, participating in acts from post-hardcore band Alexisonfire to a folk duo with P!nk called You + Me. If you’re not familiar with this incredible singer, do yourself a favor and listen to “The Girl.” After you listen – and, in doing so, become his biggest fan – buy your tickets to see him perform at the Tower Theater December 8.
Q102 Jingle Ball
For Christmas, Q102 is bringing you Selena Gomez, Calvin Harris, Tove Lo, Shawn Mendes, and many more of your favorite Top 40 artists! This awesome lineup is headed to the Wells Fargo Center on December 9. Take notes, Santa.
Trans Siberian Orchestra
Okay, so we couldn’t make a list of the must-see concerts in Philly this month without including some sounds of the season. A Holiday staple, the Trans Siberian Orchestra will bring their unforgettable rock show to the Wells Fargo Center on December 19.
