Monday, October 26
- John Mark Nelson comes to the World Cafe Live! This critically acclaimed undercover artist is something else entirely. The 21-year-old is set to take listeners on a leap forward into a new sonic landscape of propulsive rhythms and bright, complex instrumental arrangements. Show starts at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, October 27
- Dinosaurs and beer… sounds fun, right? Enjoy a free screening of the blockbuster hit Jurassic World at the Market & Shops at Comcast Center during this BYO showing! Bring your friends and your favorite beverages.
- Author and former Executive Editor of Philadelphia Magazine, Michael Callahan, will be entertaining attendees with a reading and discussion of his debut novel, Searching for Grace Kelly. Mix and mingle at The Walnut Club’s cash bar from 5:15 – 6:00 p.m., then stay for the reading and Q&A session.
Wednesday October 28
- Cold War Kids, the American indie rock band that has been taking the stage by storm, is coming to The Fillmore Philadelphia! This 104.5 show starts at 8 p.m. with openers Dearland Horns.
- There will be a Free Craft Beer Tapping Party at the Rock Bottom Brewery at the King of Prussia Mall. As their way of saying “goodbye” to October, they’ll be tapping their own very special Pumpkin Ale. RSVP ahead of time for a free pumpkin beer!
Thursday, October 29
- Philadelphia Magazine’s Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival is back and promises to be better than ever! Hosted at Lincoln Financial Field’s SCA Club, the festival will feature over 200 premium spirits from around the world. Sample whiskey, scotch, bourbon, tequila, gin, rum, vodka and so much more. PLUS, taste some of Philly’s finest cuisine from the area’s best restaurants!
Friday, October 30
- Here is a game-changing and historic event that all of Philly should come to! Pink the Runway is a luxury and couture fashion show designed exclusively for sizes 8 and up. The dress code is black tie attire, and guests will enjoy live entertainment, cocktails, and appetizers during this glamorous event.
Saturday, October 31
- The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is back in Philadelphia at the Eakins Oval! This half-marathon makes running fun. Enjoy a weekend that includes a world-class Health & Fitness Expo and culminate with finish line concert featuring the Gin Blossoms and other headlining acts. Sunday, November 1
- Oh man, November already??? Where did the time go? Well, this month is full of great events! Here is the first day of November to kick them off, starting with Gooch and The Motion performing at the World Cafe Live, starting at 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 30
- Join Yakitori Boy for an epic Halloween weekend. They will be celebrating Mischief Night, Friday, October 30, by hosting their most frightening costume contest for their Nightmare on Eleventh Street party. The fun continues on Halloween, Saturday the 31st, with their Superheroes vs. Villains bash. Best Superhero and best Villain costumes will each win $200 cash and guests can enjoy Halloween cocktail specials and karaoke both nights!
- Start the Halloween weekend off right with the Ghost Ship Horror Cruise. Hop aboard the Patriot Harbor Lines’ 1920’s replica commuter yacht for Grim Philly’s fall edition sunset Pirates & The Jersey Devil Booze Cruise from Penn’s Landing on The Delaware. Listen to stories of pirates and the Jersey Devil, as well as other scary stories right there on the Delaware. Along the 1.5 hour cruise, you will see the ship Gazela, the Cruiser Olympia, the Battleship New Jersey and the S.S. United States! Ship sails at 7 p.m.
Saturday, October 31
- The annual Devereux Hope Gala is the black tie event of the fall! Hosted at the Crystal Tea Room at the Wanamaker, this event benefits more than 3,500 children and adults struggling with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges in Southeastern PA. Spend your Halloween getting your monster mash on while supporting a great cause!
- This one is a great activity for the kids! The Spruce Hill Halloween Party is a costume parade for the little kiddies! Plan on gathering at the corner of Baltimore Avenue and 45th Street at 3pm, outside Milk & Honey. The Parade will start at 3:30 sharp!
- Here is a bar crawl fit for Halloween! The Devil’s Crawl creeps through the streets of Philadelphia into over 20 of Philadelphia’s top locations throughout center city Philadelphia. There will be no cover charge at all locations, plus an amazing drink and beer specials with your keepsake wristband. There will be multiple costume contests and different atmosphere at all locations. Here are some of the participating bars: City Tap House,Crow and the Pitcher, Drinkers Pub, Finn McCools Ale House, Irish Pub 12th Street , Irish Pub Rittenhouse. - Join the Philadelphia FIlm Society and co-presenter The Awesome Fest as they pay homage to the late writer and director Wes Craven during SLEEPOVER: WES CRAVEN’S HALLOWEEN NIGHTMARE. This fright-fest marathon runs from the morning of Saturday,October 31 through the wee hours of Sunday, November 1, and features seven titles from the NIGHTMARE franchise plus four other unforgettable, unnerving classics. Scared you won’t stay awake? Ox Coffee will be in the lobby offering complimentary coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters to get you through the night! It is $25 General Admission, or $20 for PFS & FringeArts Members.
- Come on out to Coda for an extra special Halloween costume party. Get your monster mash on starting at 9 p.m., running all the way until 6 a.m.! Live music will be provided by DJ Royale, Reed Streets (DJ set), and DJ DBO.
