From the brewery who brought you the Game of Thrones styled beers, Brewery Ommegang is introducing their newest addition to the “gang.” Rosetta, a 5.6% ABV oud bruin and kriek hybrid brewed in collaboration with Belgian sister brewery Liefmans, is replacing your typical Fall pumpkin flavors with a fresh and fruitful cherry beer that has been aged to perfection.
With fabulous pairings at area craft beer bars and restaurants, be sure to sample this tart yet balanced beverage made from three year aged cherries. You can try it at the following places all this week:
- Monday, 10/19 – Spinnerstown Hotel (Quakertown, PA) from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Tuesday, 10/20 – Station Taproom (Downingtown, PA) from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, 10/21 – Iron Abbey (Horsham, PA) from 7 to 10 p.m.
- Thursday, 10/22 – City Tap House University City (Philadelphia, PA) from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Friday, 10/23 – Devil’s Den (Philadelphia, PA) from 5 to 8 p.m.
Enjoy appetizers, small plates, cheese platters and desserts specifically chosen or created by the chefs at each of the above restaurants to complement Rosetta. Pairings will begin in the evening, varying by each location, so keep your eye on Ommegang’s social media for details.
As of now, you can find 11.2 oz bottled Rosetta in the Philadelphia area but be sure to keep your eye out in January when they introduce it on draft. Cheers for cherry!
