Monday, September 21
- We all know what this week marks. Let the holy hullabalu begin. The World Meeting of families begins today and runs all week, with the arrival of the Pope on Saturday, September 26. - Manayunk Restaurant Week continues into this week until the 25th. 3 Courses. 3 Prices. Dozens of top-rated restaurants to choose from! Dine in for lunch or dinner at participating restaurants offering a price fixed menu for $15, $25, or $35.
- Peace Day Philly is here to raise awareness worldwide. The United Nations International Day of Peace is a date all over the world to contribute to the creation of a more peaceful and unified world. More than 200 students will march with signs of peace as well as wear shirts of those lost to violence at 9:45 a.m. on Germantown Ave.

Wednesday, September 25
- Here is a cool event to check out the pop-rock scene. Johnny Brenda’s will be hosting Ash, a Irish pop-rock band who found fame across the UK in the early 90’s. Now they are back and ready to ease into their next album to bring them back to fame.
- Believe it or not, not all artists got booted because of the Pope’s visit! A$AP Rocky is keeping his concert date today at the Festival Pier. Get your tickets here.
Thursday, September 24
- Get excited! The Pope isn’t the only big thing coming to Philly this week. The Queen herself, Madonna, will be at the Wells Fargo Center for her Rebel Heart Tour.
- The two Philly based funk-rock bands of Johnny Showcase and Darla are bringing a psychedelic sound to the Delaware River Waterfront. The Waterfront Sessions continue at the Blue Cross RiverRink starting at 8 p.m.
- Get your ignition started, R. Kelly is coming to Philly! He will be performing at the Liacouras Center at Temple University starting at 9 p.m.
Friday, September 25
- If you are staying in the city, fear not! There are those select businesses who are keeping their doors open just for you. All you have to do is type in the hashtag #OpenInPHL to find out who is still open. Some of these places include: Reading Terminal Market, Mixto Restaurant, Pat’s Cheesesteaks, and museums such as the Academy of the Sciences and the Barnes Foundation. Check out Twitter for the rest!

Saturday September 26
- See the Pope without getting caught up in all the fuss. There will be a live simulcast of the Pope’s visit starting this weekend the 26th to the 27th at the Italian Market.
- Want to have a little fun during the Papal visit? The Narberth Pope Crawl will be taking place in downtown Narberth, where participants can purchase souvenir cups for $5 and visit the three bars in the Narberth “triangle”– Great American Pub, The Greeks, and McShea’s. And the best part? All proceeds from the cup sales will benefit the Narberth Community Food Bank.
Sunday, September 27
- If you want to toast the visit of the Pope, or just have a fun night in the middle of the frenzy, here is your chance! There will be an array of Biblical-themed beers on draft at the Monk’s Café.
