  • Let the Good Times Roll – Fat Tuesday Party at the Kimmel Center’s Commonwealth Plaza starts at 6 p.m. Let Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society put you in the Mardi Gras mood, with roving, street-style music and dancing in Commonwealth Plaza, complete with beads, masks, deviously delicious hurricanes, and more!
  • Irvin Mayfield, Jr. and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra – This talented group makes their Philadelphia debut at Verizon Hall in the Kimmel Center. Led by Artistic Director Irvin Mayfield, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra was founded in 2002 as a powerful vehicle for celebrating and advancing the cultural and historical legacy of New Orleans Jazz.
  • Bourbon Blue has all of your Mardi Gras essentials, from beads to masks and live music. They’ll also be serving up hurricane drink specials all night. Live music starts at 7 p.m.
  • Chris’ Jazz Cafe  – Listen to The Hoppin’ John Orchestra while sippin’ on drink specials all day, and munchin’ on Louisiana delectables like jambalaya, gumbo, crawdads and king cake.
  • Copabanana on South Street is where you can go to score $5 hurricanes and oyster shots, in addition to Louisiana classics like oysters, shrimp and catfish po’boys, and beignets!
  • Mardi Gras Dinner at Fat Ham – Sample passed hors d’oeuvres and fare from a variety of food stations including shimp po’boys, barbecue shrimp, crawfish etouffee, and jambalaya. Pair your NOLA favorite dishes with a special spiked punch. Dinner costs $39 per person.
  • Wild Bohemians at World Cafe Live – The sounds of NOLA come alive at World Cafe Live as Wild Bohemians perform a concert of Cajun tunes, dixieland music, jazz, Mardi Gras street music and more on Fat Tuesday.
