Monday, February 16

  • Philly Fashion Week kicks off its 10 year celebration starting this week! A haul of high fashion and haute couture from across the globe comes to Philadelphia with this season’s events benefiting the Evoluer House for at risk teen girls. General admission ticket prices range from $30-$40, with VIP tickets going for $80. The free event will be the Fashion On Ice Kick-off Party at Dilworth Plaza at 7pm. For more info, click here.

Tuesday, February 17

  • Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra will grace the stage at the Kimmel Center for the Fat Tuesday Celebration. The Mardi Gras celebration will begin at 7:30 p.m. with tickets ranging from $30-$70. Purchase yours before it’s sold out!
  • The Orchid Extravaganza is now on view until March 29 at Longwood Gardens. Experience a warm conservatory during this cold winter to see beautiful horticulture. It’s open daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and it’s free to enter with Gardens admission.

Wednesday, February 18

  • Leave your wallet at home this Wednesday night from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. as The Franklin Institute invites guests in with free admission for its monthly Target Community Night. February is Heart Health month and you don’t want to miss out on all the great tips and tricks The Franklin Institute is sharing during this get-together!

  • Michael and Edie is a play about a boy and a girl who immerse themselves in their books to escape their everyday lives. Heartbreakingly beautiful, it embraces audiences in the joys of being young. The premiere will be held at Villanova University at 8 p.m. and tickets range from $21-$23.

Thursday, February 19

  • Fringe Arts presents The Vulgar Early Works by Chelsea and Magda from February 19-21 at 7 p.m. An evening-long concert of self-love, subversive humor, feminist spit and sexual-angst-ridden cries against society, this show is gloriously performed in an “abstract-theater-meets-TED-Talk-meets-modern-dance-meets-weird-therapeutic-seminar” kind of way.

Friday, February 20

  • The Bridge Philadelphia is hosting a Grand Opening Celebration, featuring $3, $4 and $5 drinks during their Happy Hour along with music by Rick Baker. Enjoy a select open bar from 9 p.m. -10 p.m., plus passed hors d’oeuvres and sets by Dj’s Rick Vala and Joby Thomas! Make sure you RSVP ticket to get on the VIP Open Bar list.  Donations will also be accepted to the Barkhann Healing Hearts Foundation at the door.
  • Tin Angel is hosting Rock On Philly: Songwriters in the Round at 8 p.m. at $10 general admission. This year is a tribute edition to Kurt Cobain’s birthday. ROP’s Editor-in-Chief Jennifer Logue will also make a guest appearance.

Saturday, February 21

  • Impact Hub is hosting The Riter’s Wroom from 10 a.m- 2 p.m. This writers’ community club members will offer attendees the opportunity to share what they are working on, provide time to work on it, and gift the inspiration to keep writing. Writers will be able to take the art of storytelling to the next level. Get your laptop, pen and paper ready and get involved!
  • Manayunk River Palooza is back! The all-day music festival will be both indoors and outdoors inside a huge heated tent. From 12 p.m. until 2 a.m., enjoy awesome drink specials – and if you only want to pay $5 for your ticket, purchase in advance. Tickets sold day of will be $15 before 4 p.m., and $20 the rest of the night.

Sunday, February 22

  • Star violinist Gil Shaham will perform at Verizon Hall at 8 p.m. teaming up with conductor Robin Ticciati. Purchase tickets and then a pre-concert dinner at The Capital Grille for $80 per person. Ticket prices range from $35- $150 depending on seating in the hall.
