Monday, January 26

  • Opening Event for Liat Segal: Scattered Light presents Liat Segal, a cutting-edge Israeli contemporary artist whose high-tech installation Scattered Light (on-view beginning January 27) was commissioned especially for the Museum and weaves together history and technology using historic text and visitor reflections. Come have a conversation with the artist about the intersections of Jewish history, art, and technology. The event is free, but registration is required.
  • Family Movie Night at Xfinity Live! is showing Despicable Me 2. Tons of great games & activities will be available starting at 5pm. Don’t forget to enter for themed prizes! The movie will begin on the 32-foot HD LED big screen around 5:45pm.

Tuesday, January 27

  • Replica Creative and Young Involved Philadelphia have collaborated to bring you the Creative Coffee Chat Series! At each Chat, a handful of industry leaders connect over coffee and conversation, sharing stories and experiences across a broad spectrum of fields. This January, the conversation heats up with some of our region’s top social entrepreneurs.
  • Noel Coward’s comedy Private Lives is timeless and considered to be one of the greatest ones ever written. With a show at 8pm, enjoy this masterpiece and get ready for big laughs!

Wednesday, January 28

  • After a long break from live music, Matt Spitko began performing again in 2007 after reconnecting with an old friend. A native of Philadelphia, Spitko puts forth a body of original work with influences from folk to funk. Be sure to check him out as he jams the night away in Bourbon Blue’s cocktail lounge every Wednesday night from 9 pm to Midnight.
  • World Cafe Live will be hosting The Big Quiz Thing beginning at 8pm. Geeks and cool kids alike gather in teams to test their knowledge on the best trivia content in the business—from pop culture, music, history and sports to the completely indefinable—with excellent prizes and eternal glory at stake.

Thursday, January 29

  • Catch Me If You Can: A High-Flying Musical tells the story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr., a teenager who runs away from home in search of the glamorous life. Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer – living the life of luxury and winning the girl of his dreams. See what other adventures AND mishaps Frank gets himself into in tonight’s showing!

Friday, January 30

  • Professional Women’s Roundtable & ACE Women’s Forum Present a Political Panel gives you an inside look at the 2015 political climate and perspective on these and other pressing questions.  The panel features industry leaders from local city government and organizations.
  • Super Bowl Weekend is here! Get more bang for your buck at the Rothman Rink on Super Bowl Weekend. Skate on Saturday, January 30 and get free admission if you come back on Sunday, January 31.
  • At the end of time, three Osirian priests gather at a pseudo-Egyptian karaoke bar to perform their favorite tracks from the self-help repertoire. They sing, chant, and recite forgotten hits from the VHS vaults of gurus, cult leaders, corporate speakers, and extraterrestrial mediums. All under the cosmic glow of an LED pyramid. Join them at 8pm for Everything One in the Disc of the Sun. 
  • Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation is back with its Black Tie Tailgate this year just in time for the Philadelphia Auto Show. This event has developed into the largest fundraising event for the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation.  Attendees enjoyed an open bar and top-notch culinary creations while dancing among some of the world’s finest automobiles.
  • Voyeur Nightclub is hosting a fierce competition tonight- the REDBULL THRE3STYLE DJ COMPETITION. It’s a chance to highlight DJs who can rock a party with skills, creativity, and precision. RSVP for free entry!

Saturday, January 31

  • Philadelphia Auto Show hosts hundreds of thousands of the tri-state area’s car enthusiasts every year. For every one of those car lovers who purchases an Auto Show ticket, two dollars is donated to the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation! Held annually at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, the 2015 show is scheduled for January 31 through February 8.
  • Comedy Sportz is Philadelphia’s leading improv comedy show. Because everything is improvised, it’s never the same show twice. And it’s clean–appropriate for all ages. Check them out!

Sunday, February 1

  • Discuss politics with other liberals over coffee/tea. InFusion Coffee & Tea strives to be a community coffee shop where neighbors and other locals meet and friendships flourish.
