Global Philly Is Back and Better Than Ever

For locals, the Greater Philadelphia area is known for its variety of international resources. The Global Philadelphia Association’s (GPA) goal is to help bring those resources together in the international spotlight. For the third time, the association is bringing back Global Philly. This year, the festival is bigger than ever! We are honored and excited to be working with GPA again on showcasing hundreds of diverse events in our city.

Beginning on Friday, September 15 and ending on November 1, Global Philly 2017 (GP17) is providing 45 days “packed with all things international.” This public exposition is full of international resources, programs and activities that will be held throughout the city and  surrounding counties. From attending a world music concert to exploring an ethnic festival, there are events suited for everyone. Other categories include business, education, sports, technology and everything in between that inspires an international impact in our city.

GPA is known for their contribution in making Philadelphia the first World Heritage City in the United States of America. In 2012, Philadelphia decided to apply for an “Organization of World Heritage Cities.” After much preparation over two years, the city submitted its credentials. Based on the history, art, education, and freedom in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia officially obtained this prestigious title.
