My Perfect Day in Philadelphia: Ally’s Guide

Ally Fisher, PR Assistant:

Born and raised in Honey Brook, PA, I traveled into the city with my dad often, though it was something we did for special occasions. When the time came to apply to college, I knew I wanted to be in the city. Today, I am a junior at Temple University studying advertising and communications. For my summer internship, I jumped at the chance to work at Philly PR Girl to stay in the city for the summer while gaining experience.

But first, coffee

My perfect day in Philly would, of course, start with an iced coffee. There are so many amazing coffee shops in Philly, so it’s hard to pick just one. Square One Coffee in Center City has got to be one of my favorites though. It’s the perfect spot to take your computer and do some work or just sit and relax.

Brunch

Brunch is probably one of my favorite things, and Philly has really stepped up on their brunch game. I love trying out different places every weekend with my friends. Some of my favorites are Parc and Little Spoon Café. My go-to brunch order is eggs benedict or a Monte Cristo sandwich.

Old City

Venturing through Old City is always a great time because there is so much to do. There are so many great restaurants like The Little Lion and shops like Lost + Found to go to, plus the sightseeing is amazing. One of my favorite spots to go is Washington Square Park, it’s a relaxing stop and it’s amazing for people watching! I love going there when it’s warmer and finding the most instagrammable spots around!

Sweet Treats

I wouldn’t be able to leave the city without stopping at one of my favorite ice cream shops. Franklin Fountain or Lil’ Pop Shop both have so many unique flavors that are constantly rotating.
