Philadelphia Dance Day 2017

So you think you can dance, Philly? Prove it next Saturday on July 29 during Philadelphia Dance Day. This nonprofit festival features tons of free workshops, live performances, and a huge dance party. Eight years ago, this truly unique and interactive city-wide event was created by Philly Dance Fitness to unite the community in celebrating the power behind dance.

Throw on your favorite pair of dance shoes and show off your best moves. Philadelphia Dance Day offers an extensive variety of dance styles, from technical classes to upbeat cardio workouts. The workshop styles include: lyrical contemporary, persian, jazz, cardio bellydance, and many more! Dancers are welcomed to attend as many workshops as they would like. All daytime workshops are free and are offered at a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend trying something new and literally stepping outside your comfort zone!

This year, the list of Philadelphia Dance Day participants includes Headlong Studios, Major Moment Studio, O’Connor Pool, and the Ethical Society of Philadelphia. Each venue is welcoming the public into their studios for classes taught by their professionally trained instructors. The day-long dance party will end at the Ethical Society of Philadelphia with a can’t-miss performance showcase and social dance party!
