Tuesday, September 6

Friday, September 9  

  • Friday marks the start of the Fringe Festival, a 17-day long festival with over 1,000 contemporary, art performances that will defy your expectations. Every night, to top off the amazing performances, there will also be music, food and drinks.
  • Attend the 7th Annual Philadelphia Honey Festival to try delicious honey tastings, honey-infused beer and appetizers. You’ll also get the chance learn about importance of honey bees to our environment through extraction demonstrations, presentations and bee-themed children’s activities.
  • Bring blankets and chairs to the Movies in Clark Park viewing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Enjoy food and dessert offerings from a rotating list of vendors while watching the film on the park’s outdoor amphitheater.

 

Saturday, September 10

  • Take a trip to the Kimmel Center for their Open House event! They’re kicking off the season with free performances, dance lessons, behind-the-scenes tours, panel discussions with Philly’s art journalists, and more.
  • The two-day Kennett Square Mushroom Festival includes a variety of mushroom-centric and non-mushroom-centric events like juggling acts, photo contest, and cook-offs with different events unfolding at all times of the day.
  • The South Philly Sausage Fest is back this year to celebrate this Philadelphia classic food. The festival will feature restaurants, local craft breweries, live music and a play area for kids.
  • Take part in the Manayunk Craft Beer & Restaurant Stroll, a stroll down Main Street stopping at 18 amazing bars & restaurants. There will be craft beer samples, drink & food specials, dozens of craft beer options, and so much more.
  • Calling all college students: score some free deals after heading back to school! Head to Campus Philly CollegeFest at Dilworth Park for discounts, giveaways, entertainment and free admission to eight different museums.

 

Sunday, September 11

  • Check out GreenFest Philly, the largest environmental festival in the Philadelphia area. The streets will be lined with 150 vendors, shopping for local green wares, great food, live music, kid-friendly activities and more.
