With the first days of summer upon us, beer gardens are in full swing kicking off the new season. As each beer garden has its own vibe, we’ve rounded up our favorite ones to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery Philly has to offer. Added bonus: they also make great Instagram photo locations. What more could we ask for? Cheers!

 

Haas Beer Garden at La Peg. — 140 N Columbus Blvd.

Located in the FringeArts building across from Race Street Pier, sip on reduced priced drinks during happy hour from 5-7 PM on weekdays while looking at a clear view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.

SkyGarten– 1717 Arch St.

Now open as of June 16,Philly’s highest beer garden is located on the 51st floor of Three Logan Square. See the jaw-dropping views for yourself from Wednesday to Friday from 5-10 PM. Did we mention Mayor Jim Kenney stopped by to kick-off SkyGarten’s SIPS?

Independence Beer Garden (IBG) — 100 S Independence Mall

Located in the heart of Old City’s Independence Mall, the aptly named Independence Beer Garden has over 40 craft draft beers and picnic menu options in their 20,000 foot space. With clear sight of the Liberty Bell and Independence National Historic Park, you can enjoy brews and bites among one of the most historic places in America.

PHS Viaduct Rail Park — 10th and Hamilton Streets

With twice the seating as last year in a 9,000 square foot courtyard, this seasonal beer garden is back for round two! Enjoy happy hour from 4-6 PM with three different bars to choose from.

Frankford Hall — 1210 Frankford Ave

A member of Starr Restaurants, Frankford Hall brings the feel of a German biergarten to Fishtown with indoor/outdoor seating for over 300 people. It’s open year-round with fire pits (and s’mores for purchase) and endless entertainment of picnic games.
