Monday, August 24

  • Get your Phillies gear ready! The Phils play the New York Mets, and the first pitch will be thrown at 7 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.
  • Take yourself back into Philadelphia history and learn about the “pursuit of happiness,” at the site where Thomas Jefferson stayed while writing the Declaration of Independence in the summer of 1776. Come to the Independence National Historical Park and book your 15-minute tour!

Tuesday, August 25

  • Yoga on Race Street Pier offers free yoga classes on Tuesdays from 7 – 8 a.m. and from 6 – 7 p.m. The classes are all BYOM (bring your own mat). Kids and pets are welcome!

Wednesday, August 26

  • The P.M. @ P.M. Summer Nights Concert series continues at the Penn Museum, and this week features the Red Hot Ramblers! Get ready to dance to this 1920’s themed jazz band from 5 – 8 p.m.

Thursday, August 27

  • On Thursday evenings from 5 – 7 p.m., enjoy great happy hour specials from the Rosa Blanca Cafe at Dilworth Park, with a showcase of live and local summer music playing from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on the PNC terrace.
  • Try something different for lunch today! Take an Authentic Food Tour, exploring Manayunk’s popular food scene, including a classic cheesesteak, soft pretzels, or ice cream! Tours are available 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Defending the Caveman, starring Vince Valentine, is a hilarious play about the ways men and women relate to one another. Without taking sides, this insightful comedy discusses the ongoing battle for understanding between the sexes. Defending the Caveman is playing at the Penn Landings Playhouse through September 13.

Friday, August 28

  • Take a trip through the Penn Museum’s history with Unearthed in the Archives,” every Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Penn Museum archives. These short, weekly chats investigate the many interesting and unusual documents being safeguarded in this vast collection.
  • Looking for a beer garden this Friday night? Come on out to Morgan’s Pier from 4 p.m. – 2 a.m. for some good suds and good times, plus a menu by Nicholas Elmi!

Saturday, August 29

  • Support fuel conscious consumption, positive body image, and cycling advocacy by joining the The Philly Naked Bike Ride! The ride begins at 3 p.m., with pre-ride festivities from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. Click here for more information.
  • Country music star Tim McGraw is taking the Susquehanna Bank Center stage for his Shotgun Rider Tour! The show begins at 7 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.
  • Philly’s premiere summer reggae festival Reggae in the Park is back by popular demand at the Mann Center! Enjoy performances and DJs, arts and crafts vendors, Caribbean and global cuisine, and so much more. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and performances begin at 3.

Sunday, August 30

  • Join WXPN and Historic Philadelphia for Sunday in the Square, a free end-of-summer celebration at Franklin Square. From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., enjoy live music and more at this family-friendly event hosted by Kids Corner’s Kathy O’Connell.
  • Lenny Kravitz is making a rare headlining appearance at the Mann Center that you can’t miss! Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. with special guest Andra Ray.
  • Comedian Kevin Hart is bringing a night of laughs to Lincoln Financial Field! The show begins at 8 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.
  • The Philly 10k returns today, followed by a celebratory post-race festival! After the race, runners can cool off with a tall glass of beer and a Federal Donuts-infused Shake Shack custard! Bib pick-up is Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29. The race begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. at 8th and South Street.
