Turkey Day Tailgate with Phan Cave

Philly PR Girl and Phan Cave celebrated the Eagles home game this week with a #TurkeyDayTailgate to support our team and our community as well. For every ticket sold, a canned good donation was also collected to benefit Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization. The Eagles’ mascot, Swoop, even came to celebrate the cause before the big game.

The party started bright and early at 8 a.m. with 97.5 The Fanatic, and guests enjoyed hours of free flowing food, booze, and fun. From a fully catered Thanksgiving feast with roast turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce and stuffing to Tito’s Handmade Vodka screwdrivers and spiked hot apple cider, everybody was in good spirits. Our friends from Guinness came to sample their new Blonde lager, while tapped beer like Do Good Brewing was served from the world’s coolest kegerator inside the hood of a vintage Eagles custom-emblazoned VW Beetle.

After the big meal, pumpkin cupcakes and snacks from Center City Soft Pretzel and Pretzel Crisps fueled everyone. The KIND Snacks team also offered a large assortment of their new delicious savory protein bars, which include flavors like roasted jalapeno, honey mustard and thai sweet chile.

A big thanks to all our special guests who stopped by. Quincy “Q Deezy” Harris from Fox 29 dropped in to party with us and broadcast our “phandom” on air! Former Eagles players Quintin Mikell and Barrett Brooks arrived to cheer on the Birds with us as they posed for pictures and signed autographs.

Philadelphia Weekly greatly contributed to our cause with a fun raffle for tickets to some of Philly’s best attractions, including The Franklin Institute and Academy of Music. We were able to raise over $100 in addition to the pounds and pounds of canned goods.

To top it all off, the Eagles took home a victory against the Tennessee Titans. As soon as the game started, the Eagles immediately catapulted ahead of their competitor and stayed strong throughout with a final score of 43-24. Now we cross our fingers, do all our weird superstitions and say a prayer to hold onto the #1 spot in the division as we take on rivals, Dallas Cowboys, on Thanksgiving Day for the first time this season.

E-A-G-L-E-S! Eagles! Stay tuned as we hope to turn #TurkeyDayTailgate with Phan Cave into a big annual event.
