If you’re a foodie, drink enthusiast and/or vibrant art and culture lover, then the upcoming Night Market is the event for you. On Thursday, August 14th from 6 – 10 p.m., Night Market, hosted by The Food Trust, will take University City by storm. More than 75 vendors are set to line Lancaster Avenue starting at 35th Street on Drexel University’s campus.
This installment of the Night Market will have a variety of new food trucks along with tented vendors. The food trucks making their big debut include Luscious Bakery, The Flying Deutschman, Seoulfull Philly, The Grill Cheese and Siddiq’s Real Fruit Water Ice.
The night doesn’t stop at delicious food though. There will also be local craft beer from Yards Brewing Company, along with live music entertainment including Balkan brass band, The West Philadelphia Orchestra and West Philly native rapper and friend to Philly PR Girl, Chill Moody.
“Bringing Night Market to Lancaster Avenue fulfills the mission of the Food Trust program to showcase a neighborhood that has a lot to offer but is lesser-known because it’s off the beaten path. This section of Philadelphia is home to amazing restaurants, diverse businesses and a thriving community, and we can’t wait to celebrate it,” explains Carolyn Huckabay, Food Trust’s Communications Manager.
