Philly’s Best Parties for FIFA World Cup 2014

While most of us can’t catch a quick flight to Brazil, we’re in luck because Philadelphia offers some great parties to relay the feeling of being at the games! These parties are sure to have exciting live streams of the games and an enjoyable atmosphere at the same time. The tournament starts today and runs through Sunday, July 13th.

USA Vs. Belgium World Cup Viewing Party at Crabby Cafe & Sports Bar: The new Crabby Cafe & Sports Bar at the Piazza has plenty of outdoor seating and 32 beers on tap in celebration of the USA vs. Belgium game. Cheer on the home team while watching the game on the giant screen. The party starts at noon!

AL DIA News Media World Cup Party

AL DIA news media is hosting a World Cup kickoff party at The Hub Commerce Square on Friday, June 13th. The first game begins at 3 p.m. and they don’t stop until 8 p.m. Enjoy food, cocktails, and giveaways all evening. Tickets are $45 dollars and can be purchased online.

Worldtown Festival

Spend Saturday, June 14th relaxing and enjoying the summer festivities. Sip beer from the Worldtown beer garden and enjoy The Piazza at Schmidts while the day’s games are streamed on their 40-ft. jumbotron screen. Play your own mini World Cup by entering the 2-on-2 soccer tournament, or you can stay active by taking part in the fitness workshops offered all day. Food vendors and live music provided… and the best part is that it’s FREE all day!

Philly Phaithful World Cup Viewing Parties

Our friends at Philly Phaithful are co-hosting World Cup viewing parties all month long with Live Breathe Futbol in Northern Liberties. Watch the games on a giant 16-ft. media wall, enjoy FREE craft beer (21 and over), and grab new sports gear with discounts on apparel including the World Cup inspired collection. Tip: make a point to get to the USA vs. Ghana match because Dan Duffy will be creating a one of a kind print onsite on Monday, June 16th! All games are FREE, and RSVP is only required for the USA games.

Soccer is coming to South Street! Join Brauhaus Schmitz for full World Cup coverage. With numerous TVs all over the restaurant, you won’t miss a second. Ticket prices vary and are still available here. $10 general admission tickets include access to the viewing party and one drink ticket, while $65 VIP tickets include a 2.5-hour open beer bar and free food. Philadelphia Runner is hosting a World Cup watch party for the USA vs. Ghana game on Monday, June 16th at 6:45pm in their Center City store. They are ready to pull out a crowd to cheer on the red, white in blue in style. World Cup Final Pre-Party with Alo Brasil

Alo Brasil, Philadelphia’s own Brazilian band, takes the stage at World Café Live for a World Cup Wrap up concert and farewell pregame on July 13th. Following the performance, watch the last game stream live at 3 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online. It’s a perfect way to get your World Cup fix until it makes its valiant 2018 return in Russia.
