The 2nd Annual Preakness at the Piazza is just around the corner on Saturday, May 17th. The Greater Delaware Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society happily presents the second year in a row on this successful event. Last year, close to $100,000 was raised from over 800 attendees, and this year ticket sales plan to double.
This time around, Preakness at the Piazza spices things up by hosting their first fashion contest featuring a variety of categories. Great prizes are in store for the Best Hat, Best Couple, Best Shoes, Best Dressed Male and Female. The special guest judges of this fashion contest include Maria Papadakis (Philly.com), Susie Celek (Skin Palette), Seun Olubodun (Duke and Winston), Natalie Egenolf (WIP), and more to be announced! The 2014 Preakness’ red carpet hosts are Gina Cannon (Tango Traffic), Miss Philadelphia 2014 Diamond Edmonds, and Miss Philadelphia 2013 Francesca Ruscio.
Leading up to Preakness at the Piazza, Boyds Philadelphia is hosting the official pre-party to prepare Preakness ticket holders and media for the event of the season. The pre-party is on Wednesday, April 30th from 6-8 p.m. with specialty cocktails by Tito’s Vodka and complimentary bites by Stella Rossa and Circles Thai.
