Black and White Ball 2012 (with a touch of Fur)

FAUX Fur of course!

This past weekend Ground Zero Salons presented the Black and White Ball to celebrate its 25th anniversary and to benefit UPenn School of Veterinary Medicine Shelter Animal Program. Sponsored by Ground Zero Salons, Sweat Fitness, and AroundPhilly, the ball took place at Le Méridien Hotel in Center City… and Philly PR Girl has the VIP scoop!

Le Méridien was a sea of black and white on Saturday night. Most of the dapper crowd, including The Dean, faculty, staff and students, hung out in main ballroom with catering from local restaurants and performances by local bands throughout the night. The only interruption was for the fashion show, featuring looks from Warrior, Bridal Garden, and students’ work from Moore College of Art & Design.  Check out the slide show below for some unexpected outfits and gorgeous gowns!

The ballroom and lobby displayed a silent auction that included tons of Philadelphia sports memorabilia, special fashion items, and more. All bids went towards the Shelter Medicine Program. For those who missed out on the VIP experience, the lounge included a live DJ, top-shelf liquor, and food from some of the top restaurants in the area. My favorite was the seared scallops with white chocolate shavings and caviar – courtesy of the Borgata. Here are also some of our styles from this year’s attendees.

  1. Warrior did a great job of providing excitement and rock n roll to the fashion show. Great thanks to Lindsay and Brad, managers at Warrior for all of the hard work backstage and later in the stock rooms.
