Mumford & Sons have taken a break from touring this past year as they are busy writing and recording their new album. This week it was announced on their website that they are going back out on the road for 15 show US Tour and their first start is Hoboken, NJ! They will be playing at Pier A on August 1st which is a huge park along the river with the NYC skyline as the backdrop.
This is huge news for Mumford & Sons fans as we have been patiently waiting for them to “make a move” and either announce their new album’s release date and/or tour. It looks like the new album is set to release in the Fall of 2012.
The opener for this tour is the band Dawes who Mumford played with at World Cafe Live at their 20th Anniversary show back in November 2011. (Here’s the video) Which by the way was the last time Mumford was in town. I personally can’t wait for August 1st!
