The Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s oldest and largest indoor flower show.  Every spring, the show blooms and attracts huge crowds to the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  It features the world’s best landscape designers and florists with a curated theme. This year’s theme is ARTiculture, bringing art and horticulture together perfectly.  As Sam Lemheney, Chief of Shows and Events at the Philadelphia Horticultural Society, told us during our First Friday interview with him , “This year is a mash-up of museums, many of which have beautiful landscapes in addition to their fantastic art collections, with our garden and floral designers, who are artists in their own right.”    Here are our top 10 favorite things from this year’s Philadelphia Flower Show!

10. Dancing The Dream – Inspired by the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute (By Robertson’s Flowers & Events)

9. Rarely seen prints by the Andy Warhol Flower Series – From the Bank of America Collection

8. Out on a Limb by Flowers by David – This exhibition is inspired by the work of Fresh Artists, a non-profit created to help save art education in public schools.

7. Our Favorite Window Box display was the “Over the Rainbow” theme by Abington Senior High School

6. Our favorite store window display was by the Garden Club of Wilmington named “The Puzzle of Style.”

5. We loved Moore College of Art’s Display especially the piece by Lauren Wesley

2. The ARTiculture Garden – The Main Show Hall Entrance was a gorgeous three oversized picture frames accompanied by a live performance.
