- The Free Library of Philadelphia and Interfaith Philadelphia presents A Night of Cooking, Conversation and Community with Culinary Literacy Center! Constructor Shayla Felton-Dorsey will lead the virtual cooking demonstration. After that, you’ll be able to enjoy your delicious food and a guided conversation exploring the connection between food, culture and faith! This virtual event is from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Virtual Speed Dating is back! Look your best from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and you may find a new companion! This event is a great opportunity to safely date right from your home. - Join the Hammonds House Museum for Wine and Words: Sadeqa Johnson with Michelle Gibson. At this Zoom event, Johnson will discuss her new book “Yellow Wife” in conversation with Gibson. Grab a glass of wine and prepare for a great read! This will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the Zoom link will be sent out after registration!
- Interested in having the perfect garden? Well, Four Seasons of Color is the perfect event for you! Master Gardener Jane Corrigan is bringing a fresh interesting look at your favorite colors and how to incorporate them into your garden. The event is virtual and will take place on Zoom from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
April 14
- It’s storytime! The Free Library of Philadelphia presents Virtual Storytime with Ms. Dana. Join Ms. Dana for stories, songs and fun at 10:30 a.m. This event is recommended for children ages two and up. The storytime will be conducted on Facebook Live. Be sure to add this event to your calendar!
- Calling all children! Strum Your Songbook is offering Ukulele lessons every month! The goal of the class is to get children strumming in different patterns to create interest in their songs. In these lessons, children will learn new and classic songs that they can add in their songbook! You can register for a one-time class or monthly subscription!
April 15
- Jazz music and soul food? Sign us up! Visit South Jazz Kitchen for The Unscripted Series: Presents Carol Riddick! You can enjoy some of the best soul food in Philly while listening to the soothing sounds of jazz. Carol Riddick, from South Philly, will be the featured jazz performer! The event is from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Purchase your tickets today!
- Let’s laugh with Punchline Philly! Comedian Vicki Barbolak will be performing her comedy set at 8 p.m. Barbolak was a top 10 finalist on America’s Got Talent, and now you can see her live! - The University of Pennsylvania is having a Screening Scholarship Media Festival! This festival, themed “Rapture and Repair” will create a space to engage with multimedia projects. It will include panels, performances, keynote speakers, and screenings! The virtual event is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and you don’t want to miss it!
April 17
- It’s time for Zoom Arts With Ted Fink and Friends! The virtual event from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. will feature Ed McKendry and Mark Wolfberg. You enjoy the beautiful sounds of the acoustic guitar and piano from the comfort of your home. Gather your family and friends for this sweet free virtual concert! Register today for free.
- Want to learn how to perfect your own makeup? Beyond Basic Makeup Class is offering hands-on beginner-friendly makeup lessons! In this class, you’ll learn things like how to flawlessly apply foundation, sculpt eyebrows, and so much more! The class also comes with a gift bag, food, drinks, and a mini-photo session!
