Upcoming Concerts in Philadelphia: July Edition

This July, let freedom sing! Here are just some of the amazing artists and major concert events coming to the birthplace of our nation this month.

Wawa Welcome America Fourth of July Jam

the roots

The tradition lives on this Fourth of July as The Roots come back home to perform at the biggest free concert event in the whole country. Joining them are Miguel, Jennifer Nettles, MKTO, and more!  The festivities begin at 7 p.m. on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, followed by everyone’s favorite, fireworks!

Foo Fighters

Foo FightersFront man Dave Grohl may have a broken leg, but it looks like that won’t stop the Foo Fighters from starting their North American tour and making two appearances at the Susquehanna Bank Center on July 6 and 13. And we’ve got another confession to make—we can’t wait!

Kenny Chesney

The only time Philadelphians enjoy having a cowboy at Lincoln Financial Field is when Kenny Chesney comes to town.  On July 11, the legendary country singer will bring along country chart topping artist Eric Church along with him to co-headline, as well as country singers Brantley Gilbert and Chase Rice to open the show.

Christina Perri and Colbie Caillat

colbie and christinaColbie and Christina—a Bucks County native—will have their “Girls Night Out, Boys Can Come Too” tour stop at the Mann Center on July 11.  Newcomer Rachel Platten will open for the ladies. And with these singers performing all in one night, we strongly suggest bringing tissues.

Ariana Grande

You’ll be dancing the night away to her Billboard topping hits, including “Problem,” “One Last Time,” and “Break Free.” As an added bonus, singer Prince Royce will be joining her.

Brandon Flowers

Philly is no stranger to The Killers coming to town, but this time, lead singer Brandon Flowers will be taking the stage at the Electric Factory on July 30 all on his own.  But look on the Brightside (or rather, Mr. Brightside), the singer promised to sing some of the band’s most memorable tracks along with his new solo work!
