‘Tis the season to be jolly! December is officially here, and the city is embracing the magic of it. Holiday celebrations are popping up all around #ThisWeekInPhilly. Eat, drink, and be merry all winter long at Dilworth Park, jam out at Q102’s Jingle Ball 2018, or check out Chanukah on Boathouse Row.

Monday, December 3

  • This Monday, cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles as they take on the Washington Redskins at Lincoln Financial Field at 8:15 pm.  
  • World Cafe Live will host their first-ever TEDxPhiladelphiaWomen. The evening will begin with a happy hour followed by video screenings and live talks FROM TEDWomen 2018 speakers and influential individuals in the Philadelphia community.
  • The Met Philadelphia welcomes American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. Spend the evening listening to his most famous classics.
  • Join the Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation, the Mayor’s Office of Public Engagement, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia for a Chanukah celebration on Boathouse Row from 6 – 7 pm. All week Boathouse Row will be lit white and blue to celebrate the holiday.
  • Enjoy the holidays at Craft Hall Pop-Up Restaurant every day from 12:00 – 9:00 p.m. Sip on their festive hot drinks or warm up under the heated tent.

Tuesday, December 4

  • American singer-songwriter John Legend performs his new album – A Legendary Christmas at The Met Philadelphia. When purchasing a ticket online, fans will receive a copy of his new album.  
  • Dilworth Park’s winter events continue with Quizzo hosted by Johnny Goodtimes from 6 – 8 p.m. Get your friends together and come out for trivia, drink specials, and prizes.
  • The Raven Lounge invites you to join their Open Mic Night. Enjoy Philly’s newest talent as they take the stage. Happy Hour specials will include $3 beer, $4 wine, and $5 cocktails from 5 – 7 p.m.
  • Subaru, KleinLife, and RSVP Philadelphia are collecting items for their Share the Love Event Food Drive. Help donate to make breakfast & blizzard bags until December 29.   

Wednesday, December 5

  • Dilworth Parks hosts Cocktails and Cold Ones. Enjoy an evening at Rothman Cabin sipping $6 cocktails, $5 wines, and $4 beers, along with specially priced food items.
  • The Pennsylvania SPCA and The Trestle Inn are teaming up to host Pittie Party. From 5 – 8 p.m., animal lovers are invited to celebrate saving lives while enjoying the holidays.
  • Q102’s Jingle Ball 2018 is back at Wells Fargo Center. The star-studded lineup includes headliners Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, etc.
  • Experience the spectacular sounds of the season at A Philly POPS Christmas with guest conductor Todd Ellison. This years show will also feature Mandy Gonzalez, The Philly POPS Festival Chorus, the award-winning African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas Gospel Choir, and the Philadelphia Boys Choir.
  • Get in the holiday spirit every Thursday at Manayunk’s Holiday Stroll. Each week participating retailers and restaurants will offer shoppers themed promotions and happy hour specials.
  • Tria invites you to celebrate the best of the 1990s at their 90s Night. Starting at 4 p.m., enjoy vintage wines and a retro playlist in your best 90s style.

Thursday, December 6

  • Cheer on the Philadelphia Flyers as they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Wells Fargo Center at 7 pm.
  • Network with the finest and brightest professionals at The Philadelphia Relaunch Party. Held at Tradesman’s, enjoy the city’s newest American BBQ and Beer Hall while you mingle.
  • Valanni and Alexander John present Sleigh A Toys for Tots Extravaganza from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m at Valanni. In honor of the giving season, bring an unwrapped toy and $5 cover in order to attend.
  • Dance the night away with Nicky Romero. He’ll be performing at NOTO from 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.  

Friday, December 7

  • Celebrate with Moxie Blue Salon* at their First Birthday Open House Party. Guests are invited to Bridge On Race to experience a Best of Philly winners holiday crawl. Explore the salon along with Tuna Bar and United By Blue, all celebrating their one year anniversary.
  • Mumford & Sons takes over the Wells Fargo Center at 7:30 p.m. Don’t miss the band as they rock out on-stage.
  • Grim Philly Twilight Tours invites you to celebrate Yuletide Traditions over seasonal drinks, food…in the warmth of tavern fun! From 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., learn a full range of the surprising histories of Yule, and Viking lore, and Saturnalia.
  • Don’t miss The Kramer Brothers performing live in Christmas Village from 7 – 8 p.m. Bring the whole family for a night of music-filled fun.

  • In honor of ELF’s 15th Anniversary, Roxy Theater and Philadelphia Film Society will be screening the Christmas classic. Spend the night laughing at Buddy the Elf’s best jokes.
  • Mad Rex invites families with girls ages 1 to 14 to dress up for the first-ever Princess Brunch. Princesses will receive complimentary a gift bag, tiara, tea, and pastries.
  • This Sunday, cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles as they take on division rivals, Dallas Cowboys, at 4:25 pm.
