Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! There is so much to celebrate and be grateful for. Party it up midweek on Thanksgiving Eve, watch the 6ABC Thanksgiving parade, then of course, tailgate for a cause with yours truly. Tag your events out and about in Philadelphia with #ThisWeekinPhilly. 

Monday, November 20

  • World Cafe Live Philadelphia is hosting Philly Rising Open Mic. Prepare up to two songs from any genre and be ready to perform. Unique performers will be selected to perform at Philly Rising Best of Monthly Showcase.
  • Get ready to #TrustTheProcess and cheer on the Philadelphia 76ers as they take on the Utah Jazz. Tip off is at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center.

Tuesday, November 21

  • If you’re not sure where to host this year’s Friendsgiving, Pizzeria Vetri has you covered. From 5 to 10 p.m., celebrate the holiday with menu specials, festive drinks, games, movies, and much more. Bring nonperishable food items to enter to win prizes throughout the night.
  • Dress from head to toe in orange black and head over to the Wells Fargo Center. Starting at 7 p.m., the Philadelphia Flyers will face off against Vancouver.

Wednesday, November 22 (Thanksgiving Eve)

  • Stay tuned for a dedicated blog post on where the hottest events are happening on Thanksgiving Eve!
  • Now is the perfect time to join Local 44’s new Beer Club! Just in time for holiday parties and gift giving (and available all year long), this monthly subscription include a specially curated six-pack assortment of beer for its members.

Thursday, November 23 (Happy Thanksgiving!)

  • Continue or start a new tradition and head over to the annual 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade! This family-friendly event is fun for all ages, featuring a variety of performers, decorative floats, and an appearance from Mr. & Mrs. Claus.
  • LOVE Park is officially open again and hosting Christmas Village in Philadelphia! Visit the newly renovated Philly landmark while enjoying a beautiful lights display, activities, live music, shopping, and so much more. We’ll have an inside guide to help you navigate posted soon!
  • It’s the first night of A Longwood Christmas. Walk off the Thanksgiving feast and stroll through the beautiful lights at Longwood Gardens. Fill your ears with holiday music with your family and friends here until January 7.

Friday, November 24

  • Conjure up some magic at The Academy of Natural Sciences’ Wild Wizarding Weekend! Over the next three days, guests can expect a spellbinding and interactive experience topped off with real life (mini)-dragons and owls. Dress in your best wizard attire and receive $2 off your admission.
  • It’s Black Beer Friday with Goose Island Brewery at Alla Spina. Sip on Goose Island beers and enjoy a variety of food specials inspired by the beers’ flavors.

Saturday, November 25

  • It’s Small Business Saturday in Chestnut Hill! From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., kickstart your holiday shopping while supporting locally owned boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and much more.
  • Everyone’s favorite Christmas lights show is here for the season! Since 1956, The annual Christmas Light Show at Macy’s has been a holiday tradition to many. Take a break from your Black Friday shopping and witness this beautiful and festive show.  

Sunday, November 26

  • The day is finally here! Join  Phan Cave and PPRG team in South Philly as we host the 4th Annual Turkey Day Tailgate. This year, we’re supporting of Big Brothers Big Sisters, so bring a gently used book to donate. Get your tickets now!
