Elizabeth Cree

Perrel Theatre | September 14 – 23

As a part of Opera Philadelphia’s inaugural fall festival, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Putts and librettist Mark Campbell return to Philadelphia. The duo behind the critically acclaimed Silent Night present their world premiere of The Trial of Elizabeth Cree. The multi-narrative opera is based on the Peter Akroyd novel, set in 1980s London. Come experience this suspenseful adaptation in all of its mysterious glory.

Amadeus Live

Verizon Hall | September 21 – 23

Widely recognized, the story of Amadeus highlights a mystery enthralled with passion, jealousy and murder. As the complete plot plays out onscreen, the Philadelphia Orchestra will provide a live soundtrack from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s iconic symphonies and concertos. Witness this tale come to life with magical surround sound.

Kinky Boots

Academy of Music | October 3 – 8

This six-time Tony Award winning big-hearted and high-heeled Broadway musical is making its way to Philadelphia! Kinky Boots, the joyous musical, features tunes from Grammy and Tony Award-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper. It’s a celebration about the friendships we discover along life’s journey, as well as the power to change the world when you put your mind to it. Sometimes, all it takes is one pair of stilettos… For shoe and musical lovers alike, come experience a story about what happens when you simply believe.

Kevin James

Merriam Theatre | October 7

Known for his newer sitcom, Kevin Can Wait, and the long-running show, The King of Queens, comedian/actor Kevin James is bringing laughs to the stage. James has also brought the funny to big screen comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1 & 2, Hitch, Grown Ups 1 & 2, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry… just to name a few. James brings the same energy to his stand-up set, so get ready for an intimate night of laughter.

The Sleeping Beauty

Academy of Music | October 12 – 22

We all know the story of The Sleeping Beauty, but it’s never been seen quite like this. The Pennsylvania Ballet beautifully captures the classic fairytale in all of its magic. Rediscover an enchanting world where everyone lives happily ever after, brought to life with the lavish set and costumes. The stunning score, composed by Tchaikovsky, seamlessly gives life to this classical ballet. Set for all ages, bring along the kids for a beautiful adaptation of a favorite childhood story.
