Monday, August 21

  • Don’t miss out! Grab a pair of solar eclipse glasses and head over to The Franklin Institute or follow along live online.
  • Catch another summer concert before it’s too late! Green Day’s Revolution Radio Tour at BB&T Pavilion, featuring Catfish and the Bottlemen, begins at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, August 22

  • Support the Valley Youth House as they hold the closing ceremony for the 2017 Backpack Challenge at the Pennsylvania of Fine Arts. This program works to collect back-to-school essentials for over 5,000 Philadelphian children in foster care.
  • Science After Hours: Don’t Try This at Home at the Franklin Institute is a monthly evening event series that is exclusively for adults 21+. August is all about explosive experiments!

Wednesday, August 23

  • No summer in Philly is complete without a visit to Parks on Tap. Join the traveling beer garden as they pop-up at Clark Park in West Philadelphia.
  • Join the Philadelphia Area Chapter Association of Certified Fraud Examiners for an interesting night of networking at Eastern State Penitentiary. The topic of the night is “Leadership vs. Management.”

Thursday, August 24

  • Optimal Sports Health Club 1315* introduces a new group class to their schedule. Switch up your weekly workout routine with a Ballerina Body Fit class at 9:15 a.m. with Candace Cihocki.
  • OurNightOut-Philly is a monthly social and networking event for the LGBTQ community, hosted by DVLF.* This month the party is at Morgan’s Pier! A portion of the proceeds goes to a LGBTQ-serving non-profit.

Friday, August 25

  • Watch out for the ladies in pink; the Susan G. Komen Philadelphia 3-Day is back! Put your #GirlPower to the test by walking 60 miles in three days.
  • Explore Kirtan, an ancient form of mantra meditation with Philadelphia Hot Yoga.* The evening includes a hot yoga happy hour class with Joel Pier, Kirtan meditation, and a vegetarian feast!
  • Center City District and Live Nation present the last Pictures in the Park of the season. Enjoy an outdoor movie screening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at in Dilworth Park beginning at 8:30 p.m.
  • August Twilight in the Gardens is a picnic-style experience featuring live music, glittering sculptures, and more. Join Drum Like A Lady, an all-female drum collective, at the Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens for a jam sesh.

Saturday, August 26
