Philly’s Mexican bars will be mixing up margaritas and cracking open Tecate cans this Friday. That’s right, Cinco De Mayo lands on a Friday this year. What better way to end the first week of May? If you haven’t planned your Cinco De Mayo fiesta, we’ve got you covered! 

  1. Jose Pistola’s

    263 S 15th Street: With $25 traditional margarita pitchers and $30 flavored margarita pitchers, this Center City bar will extend the Cinco De Mayo festivities outside the restaurant. Try one of the mango, strawberry, guava, and el diablo flavors! If tequila isn’t your speed, Yards Brewing Company will be joining the fiesta for a special drink collaboration. To top off the festivities, there will be a pig roast!

  2. Cantina Los Caballitos

    1651 E. Passyunk Avenue: This South Philly bar will be serving tequila the traditional way. Explore Los Caballitos’ extensive tequila menu with over 40 options! Whether it’s on the rocks or frozen in a glass or pitcher. Happy hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. with $3 classic margaritas, $3 red sangria, and $15 pitchers specials!

  3. Xochitl

    408 S 2nd Street: A Friday celebration just is not enough. This fiesta last two days, May 5 and 6. Offering all day food and drink specials, the bar will feature bites starting at $5, $6 margaritas, $3 drafts, and $3 Tecates.     2013 Chestnut Street: If margaritas are not enough, the food at El Rey will surely draw you in. They’re cooking up chicken, veggie, steak, and pork taco specials for $3. Refresh with $4 class margaritas and $3 mango and guava specialty margaritas!

    1040 N 2nd Street: Celebrate in Tex-Mex style with tacos, barbecue, and of course, margaritas. Indoor and outdoor drink specials are available, making this a perfect spot if the weather cooperates. In addition, they’ll be serving cut-to-order delicious $3 al pastor tacos!
