Must See: Home Alone with the Philadelphia Orchestra

Enjoy a night out in Philadelphia with Kevin McCallister and his family in the beautiful theater of Verizon Hall in the Kimmel Center. If you love Christmas movies, then Home Alone with The Philadelphia Orchestra is the show to see this week.

This experience is not only for classical music lovers; it’s a perfect family fun event! Tying together the heartwarming 1990 classic with live instrumental performance, it’s a great way to expose kids to the orchestra. Kate and Amanda had two special guests with them to watch the American Christmas comedy film. Luckily, not a moment of the production was missed since Niko, 4, and Luka, 2, repeated every single line.

Led by Conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos, the orchestra performed each of the film’s musical tracks alongside the motion picture. After intermission, The Choirs at the College of New Jersey joined the orchestra, bringing the movie to life inside the theater.

Whether you are looking for a great night out with the family – or even a special date night, Home Alone with The Philadelphia Orchestra is a perfect early holiday present. Just don’t make your family disappear like Kevin did!

Grab your tickets for December 21 and 22 showings, beginning at 7 PM.
