Grim Philly*

The Pennhurst Asylum*

The fear is real at the  Pennhurst Asylum, a former mental institution with its share of thrills. Head to Pennhurst Asylum for a  hospital themed walk thru attraction with many items and artifacts that were part of the original State School. Scream your way through the Dungeon of Lost Souls or travel through the Tunnel Terror a 900ft long gauntlet underneath the hospital, and of course hunt for spirits during the Ghost Hunt. The Fright Factory 

The Fright Factory has been named one of the scariest haunts by the Travel Channel and is known as one of the best Philadelphia haunted attractions. Located in South Philly, the Fright Factory takes guests through an adult-themed haunted house with plenty of scary and startling sites. Tours end October 30th.

Bates Motel

Get ready to get terrified at this local haunt with all of your favorite Halloween thrills. The Bates Motel has existed for over 25 years of fear and has been named the “Number 1 Haunted Attraction in America” by Hauntworld USA. If you’re feeling brave, you can take on all three attractions – the Haunted Hayride, Bates Motel, and Corn Maze!

Yelp’s Black Magic Bash at SugarHouse Casino

Dress up for the Black Magic Bash at the SugarHouse Casino for eats, drinks and live entertainment. Halloween hits will play all night for an epic dance party and tons of festive fun on Thursday, October 27th. The event, hosted by Yelp, is free to attend, but a $10 donation is suggested to benefit the American Association for Cancer Research.

Monarch* Tented Halloween Pool Party

Get ready for Monarch’s first-ever Halloween Pool Party! Yes, that’s right, a pool party in the middle of October! This party of the season will be hosted at their new heated pool enclosure. Wicked: 7 Evil Parties at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia

If you think you have one of the most creative costumes of the season, join XFINITY Live! for their event Wicked: 7 Evil Parties on October 28th and October 29th. You’ll have the chance to win over $4,000 in cash and prizes! This is not your typical Halloween party. There are seven parties under one roof featuring live music, entertainment and seasonal beers. 

Yelloween at Assembly

Howl at the moon at the top of the city at the Rooftop Assembly Lounge for their Yelloween party on October 29th. This ticketed events will have spooky sips, costume contests, and welcome glasses of Veuve Clicquot! Celebrate in style while taking in some of the best views in the city.

Monster’s Ball Masquerade

On October 28th, put on your mask and finest attire for the Monster’s Ball Masquerade at the Ritz-Carlton. The Halloween cocktail party is one of the classiest Halloween parties in the city that will raise money for the Academy of Music.

The Devil’s Beer Crawl

Crawl through the streets of Philly in your creepy costume at the The Devil’s Beer Crawl on Saturday, October 29th. Start at City Tap House, Ladder 15, Locust Rendezvous or Tir Na Nog and make your way through the city. You’ll have access to multiple bars with no cover charge and get to enjoy great drink specials. Vampire and Vixens

For its 11th year, Vampire and Vixens is back in Philly at Lucky Strike on Friday, October 28th. This is one of Philly’s longest-running Halloween costume parties! The event will feature a guest DJ with special drink prices, open bar or bottle service options. There will also be an costume contest that could win you a trip to Las Vegas or the Bahamas! You won’t want to miss it.
