As Center City SIPS comes to an end and fall weather sets in, we’ve rounded up a list of new buzzing places, as well as tried & true happy hour favorites around Philadelphia. After all, you’ve worked hard all day, so you deserve happy hour any time of the year!

 

Sips with a view at these new hotspots:

Mission Taqueria, 1516 Sansom Street (2nd Floor)

Located above its sister restaurant Oyster House, this new lively mexican spot is a must-visit. Its happy hour is from 5 – 7 p.m. every Monday through Friday. Enjoy $3 Coronas, $6 margaritas and wines and $3 tacos while overlooking Sansom Street through floor-to-ceiling bay windows in the bar area.

One Observation Deck, 1650 Market Street (57th Floor)

What’s a great view without a great bar? Philly’s tallest enclosed attraction, One Observation Deck, will host a pop-up happy hour called Bar 57 on Thursdays from September 29 through October 27. From 5 – 7 p.m., specials include $5 beers and $7 wines with a happy hour menu involving Di Bruno Brothers. As a bonus, admission to the deck will be discounted during the happy hour.

Aqimero, 10 Avenue of the Arts

Center City’s token luxe happy hour is reinvented in the former 10Arts, located in the iconic Ritz-Carlton’s beautiful lobby. On Mondays through Fridays from 4 – 6:30 p.m., pair $1.50 oysters with $5 beers and $7 refreshing cocktails, such as caipirinhas and palomas.

 

Some go-to happy hour favorites:

Sampan, 124 S. 13th Street

Located in Midtown Village, Sampan is known for its Asian fusion small plates, as well as a three hour happy hour from 4 – 7 p.m. Serving a variety of 10 cocktails for $9, scorpion bowls for $25, and sake by the carafe (prices vary). In addition, many wines and featured beers are available. Sampan also offers a full happy hour menu ranging from $3 – $4. If it’s too full or you want to enjoy the fall weather, try the outdoor patio in the back called Graffiti Bar. The food specials features $2 satays with assorted dipping sauces.

Zahav, 237 St. James Place

Best known for its award-winning food, Zahav is often overlooked for its drinks. A small bar against their bustling kitchen is the perfect setting for. Every Monday through Friday from 5 – 7 p.m., enjoy $3 select beers, $4 off cocktails, $3 off select wines, and half-off the creamiest homemade hummus.

Charlie was a Sinner, 131 S. 13th Street

This vegan speakeasy is the perfect place for an intimate date or a fun catch-up with friends. Every week, there is a new version of Charlie’s Punch during happy hour, so you never know what you’ll get. Time and again, it’s a pleasant surprise concocted by some of the best mixologists in the city. You can also enjoy wine, beer, and a couple other select cocktails Mondays through Thursdays from 4 – 7 p.m. and up until 6 p.m. on Fridays. Food specials include sliders and tacos of the creative vegetable variety.
