Monday, September 19th

  • Join Philly Fashion Week as they kick off their week long event with a chic, poolside fashion show at Monarch Philly* featuring Hope Chest**, a premier lingerie store in Center City Philadelphia. Throughout the week, Philly Fashion Week will celebrate style with multiple fashion shows around the city featuring both local and national designers.  (And stay for the Eagles game!)
  • Even though the Eagles are playing away this week, you won’t want to miss watching the game at Birds Away Game at Xfinity Live on their 32 ft screen! Cheer on your team while enjoying drink specials. Plus, the first 500 guests get a free Miller Lite!

 

Tuesday, September 20th

  • On Tuesday, Philly Fashion Week heads to Sugarhouse Casino for a Style Gala event. Tickets for the event include complimentary food, a cash bar, and a fashion show featuring the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator Designers.
  • Grab your tricks and wands for a magic night of spells, potions, and owls at Science After Hours: Wizard School at the Franklin Institute. Experience the magic during a night of science and fun!

 

Wednesday, September 21st

  • Don’t miss the peak of fashion week, quite literally at the top of the city at One Liberty Observation Deck. While sipping on fabulous drinks at the VIP  show, retailers in the audience will have a chance to buy pieces from some of their favorite looks.
  • Put on your dapper attire and get ready for the first ever “Gentlemen’s Night Out,” hosted by Chad Michael* and Miz Inc. for Philly Fashion Week. Chad will be on site doing hair, and fresh shaves. Miz Inc, and Chad will be providing essential tips on what’s trending in men’s style for the fall.   • Get out and get fit with personal trainer, Erik Strassman, in the Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons for a FREE group workout session.  The event will focus on quality of movement, and all fitness levels are welcome.

 

Thursday, September 22nd

  • Philly Fashion Week moves to Macy’s on Wednesday for a premier fashion show presented by Macy’s and the Philadelphia Fashion Incubators. The show will offer guests the chance to purchase items on-site and will include a special presentation by current project runway designer, Mah-Jing Wong.

 

Friday, September 23rd

  • Check out the OktoberFest at Alla Spina running all weekend. The event is presented by the Victory Brewing Company and will feature traditional German food specials, happy hour specials on Friday and a street festival on Sunday.
  •  Enjoy an evening of cocktails and dinner at the Ment’or Dinner at the stylish Barclay Prime in Philadelphia. The event is hosted by Chefs Alex Lee and Mark Twersky and will support Team USA 2017 as they embark on their final six months of the Road to Lyon tour.
  • Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with a night full of Salsa dancing!  Dance under the stars with Siempre Salsa Philly and Philadelphia Dance Foundation, who will offer a FREE salsa lesson starting at 7pm with dancing beginning at 7:30pm.
  • You won’t want to miss the Bad Boy Family Reunion at the Wells Fargo Center this Friday Night. Puff Daddy is set to host an amazing concert, with an even better lineup.  Faith Evans, Lil Kim, Mase, 112, Total, Carl Thomas, The Lox, and French Montana will all be performing.  

 

Saturday, September 24th

  • Hit the streets running for Philadelphia’s first ever Philly Free Streets Day. Open Streets PHL, the nonprofit that has been pushing for a car-free open streets event, will block off nearly eight miles of Philly streets for residents to walk, run and bike as they please.
  • Run for a cause at the Unite for Her* 5k run/walk in West Chester to honor women affected by breast cancer. Race day registration for participants starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 5k opening ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m. To sign up before race day, participants can register here.
  • Join West Laurel Hill* for their Tales For The Tomb event, a rare behind-the-scenes look at some of West Laurel Hill’s unique mausoleums! Take a morning stroll through the Cemetery to see famous notables, the beautiful grounds and stops to see the interiors of various mausoleums.
  • Indulge on all the bacon you want at Chaddsford Winery’s Baconfest for an abundance of pork-centric culinary creations, prepared by some of the best food trucks in the bacon business, then quench your thirst with a variety of award-winning, flavorful Chaddsford wines.
  • Get inspired at the The 4th Annual Women in Media Conference presented by WIM Philly. The event encourages and empowers women in media to challenge themselves, think globally, and to take their brand one step further. This is an extremely informative event you won’t want to miss.  
  • Put on your blue suede shoes for the 9th annual Cocktails Against Cancer event. Help fight cancer while enjoying a night of fundraising, dancing, food, music and, of course, cocktails!

 

Sunday, September 25th

  • Come out and celebrate the wonderful culture and history of Puerto Rico and its descendants at the 2016 Philadelphia Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival. The day will be full of music, dancing, and fabulous floats.
  • Attend Brazilian Day, part of PECO’s multicultural series. The event will take place at Penn’s Landing and will have family friendly events to give Philadelphians a taste of authentic Brazilian culture.  
  • Celebrate the all-new King of Prussia Mall for an Evening of Giving. Enjoy an exclusive night of shopping, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment all in support of Abramson Cancer Center.
  • Cheer on the Birds as they take on our state rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Xfinity Live tailgate for one of their biggest tailgates featuring live music and contests!
