Monday, August 15

  • Philadelphia’s LGBT Theatre Festival GayFest! will be hosting special events throughout the week that guarantees guests over 30 great performances!
  • Join Be Well Philly for their last training run for the Philly 10k! The best part is that the run ends at Philadelphia Brewing Co. What’s better than that?  

 

Tuesday, August 16

  • Attend Vino and Vinyasa for a unique vinyasa yoga experience ending with a happy hour that includes one free glass of wine. Class is held in the Valley Green patio pavilion and requires guests to bring their own mat.
  • Attend the Fringe Happy Hour, a wonderful opportunity for Fringe Festival Artists and local community members to connect with one another, share resources, and wind down from festival prep.

 

Wednesday, August 17

  • Come to Toast Philly for Part 10 of Big Rube’s Chicken & Waffle pop up event. Tickets are $25 and come with a complimentary courvoisier tasting.
  • Gov’t Mule is in Philly for their Smokin’ Mule 2016 Summer Tour with very special guest, Blackberry Smoke. Tickets are on sale here.
  • South Street Headhouse District returns with Movies Under the Shambles with free outdoor movie screenings for the whole family under the cover of the historic Headhouse Square Shambles. This week’s movie is the Disney classic, Aladdin.

 

Thursday, August 18

  • Join in at the city’s first ever SustainPHL Awards, a celebration for sustainability visionaries to unsung heroes making a difference in their communities. Enjoy an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres from local vendors, and educational “Munch & Learns.” Their goal is to have all attendees to go home inspired, involved in new sustainability efforts, and implement the means to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
  • Pups & Pints Philly kicks off it’s inaugural event, Beers and Bingo at the PHS pop up beer garden at Viaduct Rail Park. Bring your friends and pups to meet other dog lovers in the area for a $10 admission, which includes two beers.
  • Head to Primark at the Willow Grove Park Mall to meet Victoria Justice, famous for her roles in ‘Victorious’ and MTV’s ‘Eye Candy’! Shoppers will have the chance to get a photo op and an autograph from Victoria Justice, as well as a $25 to Primark.

 

Friday, August 19

  • Head to Monarch Philly* in Northern Liberties for their Adults Swim Pool Party! There will be live entertainment and drinks to make for a perfect night at the pool.
  • The Goo Goo Dolls are coming to Philadelphia with special guests Collective Soul and Tribe Society at Festival Pier. Tickets available here.
  • The 3rd annual Night Out Restaurant Week is back! 20+ restaurants in Fishtown and Northern Liberties will be offering delicious lunch and dinner menus for an amazing fixed price.

 

Saturday, August 20

  • Join PECO for their Multicultural Series at Penn’s Landing to celebrate The Festival of India. Get a taste of the Indian culture with authentic art, music, dance and cuisine.
  • Attend the second to last 40th Street Summer Series on the green area behind the Walnut Street Library at 40th Street. The series will be hosting outdoor concerts and family friendly events that capture the soul of the neighborhood.
  • Gather at the Reading Terminal Market fpr their Franklin Flea event, a market filled with vendors of vintage, reclaimed and locally handmade goods.
  • Don’t miss the Bottles of Beer on the River event at Cavanaugh’s Riverdeck offering samples of a variety of local, national and craft beers. Guests will receive a complimentary sampling glass, unlimited craft samples and live entertainment.
  • Head to Chaddsford Winery on Saturday and Sunday for their Summer Food Truck Festival! Sip on locally-produced wine and indulge on food truck fare while enjoying live music and complimentary wine tours.

 

Sunday, August 21

  • PECO’s Multicultural Series at Penn’s Landing continues for the 30th Annual Caribbean Festival. The event will benefit college education for students of Caribbean descent and will feature a Caribbean workshop, a children’s corner, a marketplace and music from across the islands.
  • Color Vibe 5k is coming to Philadelphia. Come with family and friends to experience the most colorful run of your life!
  • Drake and Future are coming to the Wells Fargo Center for their Summer sixteen tour. Tickets are still available here.
