What’s going on This Week in Philly…

Monday, March 28

  • Food Network star Ron Ben-Israel will be in Philadelphia for City of Hope’s Let Them Eat Cake event at the Loews Hotel! This is a wedding cake competition featuring dozens of pastry chefs designing to the theme of animation. Taste and take home as much cake as you want, plus there’s an unlimited wine and champagne bar! All proceeds with benefit the City of Hope!

 

Tuesday, March 29

  • March has been Women’s History Month and to celebrate, IBA is hosting their Women in Business Panel Discussion event at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts! Listen to incredible women speak about business and career advice. This event isn’t just for females so guys, come on out!
  • The Immune Deficiency Foundation is holding Family Conference Day at Dave and Busters. Learn about the latest diagnosis and treatment of immune disease, and the kids will be able to enjoy the fun activities!

 

Wednesday, March 30

  • Go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the 60’s POP Invasion! Sketch your favorite artists and idols, get a makeover from makeup and hair professionals at NARS, and get your picture taken in the photo-booth. This event is unlike any other so you don’t want to miss it!
  • The Philadelphia Film Society is hosting a BYOB film screening of Pretty Woman at The Roxy Theater! Bring whatever wine you love and enjoy the classic movie starting at 7 p.m.

 

Thursday, March 31

  • Radio/TV personality and New York Times best selling author Jim Norton will be performing a comedy show at The Fillmore! The New Jersey native will be giving the audience quite a laugh starting at 8 p.m.

 

Friday, April 1

  • Kick off the 2016 baseball season with the Business Behind Home Plate networking luncheon at Citizens Bank Park! Hear the Phillies General Manager Matt Klentak speak, along with several A-list players and more. Plus, get your picture taken with the 2008 World Series Trophy. Each ticket purchase to the event includes a voucher for two tickets to any Phillies home game in April or May!
  • It’s Parents Night Out at the Independence Seaport Museum! Have a fun night away from the kids and enjoy a night out on the town. You bring your kids with you and the four-hour program will include activities, crafts and snacks for the children!

 

Saturday, April 2

  • Washington Square Park is hosting their annual pillow Philly Pillow Phight! At 3 p.m., gather with your friends and other city residents and bring out your inner sleepover pillow fight skills! Bring your soft pillow and enjoy the 30 minute fun!
  • The Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers are hosting their Autism Awareness nights at the Wells Fargo Center. At 1 p.m., watch the Flyers take on the Ottawa Senators, and then at 7:30 p.m., go to the Sixers vs. Indiana Pacers game! $4 from each ticket will be donated to the Autism Speaks Walk!
  • The Hot Chocolate 15k/5k is back at the Philadelphia Museum of Art! The Ronald McDonald House is this year’s charity for this incredible race filled with goodie bags, entertainment, and a finisher’s mug with delicious hot chocolate!

 

Sunday, April 3

  • Get Your Rear in Gear is back at the Please Touch Museum! The 4 mile run and 2 mile walk helps raise funds for colon cancer awareness efforts in the Philly area!
  • The 12th Annual Goals for Giving hockey benefit is happening at Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia! The fundraiser features a great hockey game with Flyer alumni and the NHS Human Services Foundation where they play to raise money for the non-profit NHS!
