Local musician Jessi Teich is celebrating the vinyl release for her debut album, Twisted Soul, this Friday, December 18 at the Painted Bride Art Center. Twisted Soul features ten tracks that reflect the range and depth of Jessi’s powerhouse voice. This event is one you won’t want to miss, as it will be Jessi’s last performance for Twisted Soul, which was released in April, and also in Philadelphia, as the singer has plans to move to Los Angeles.

Jessi was born and raised in New Jersey. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, she moved to Philadelphia where she began her music career. Her award-winning songwriting, which has earned her 10 international accolades, is a mixture of blues, jazz, and soul – and her newest tracks feature an ear-catching pop sound.

Twisted Soul was recorded in Paris. Jessi happened to be visiting and touring the city when she fell in love with the music scene and was inspired to record her project there. She worked with Thierry Maillard Trio and Laurent Derache to create the album, which sends a message of hope to women against emotional violence. Jessi supports Philadelphia’s Leading Domestic Violence Advocate: Women Against Abuse. Coming out of an unstable, controlling relationship, she used her voice to speak up about unhealthy relationships. Twisted Soul has received much praise from online magazines and websites for its creative sound and deeply personal message.

In celebration of her vinyl release, Jessi’s show will take place with singer/songwriter Ginger Coyle taking the stage as the opening act. Jessi will perform the ten tracks from Twisted Soul and interact with the audience for an unforgettable night. General admission is $25 but you can upgrade to VIP which includes a poster and private meet-and-greet with Jessi. You can purchase your tickets here.
