Monday, October 19

  • Get your last minute tickets for the Eagles vs. the Giants tonight at the Lincoln Financial Field! Kickoff is 8:30 p.m.
  • The Delaware Valley Legacy Fund holds a monthly Our Night Out, to network and have some fun with those in and those who support the LGBT community. This month, join them at the Ritz Carlton from 6-8p.m. Check out the event on  Facebook, and pre-register here!
  • Join The Brooklyn Brewery and Timberland as they celebrate the changing seasons with a beer sampling and an exclusive look at Timberland’s newest fall styles at the Season and Seasonals- A Beer for Every Look. The event will take place at the Timberland store on Walnut.

Tuesday, October 20

  • Ever wonder what happened to those old VHS tapes from the 90’s and early 2000’s? Well, the World Cafe Live is hosting the  Found Footage Fest, an impressive collection of the most odd and unintentionally hilarious videotapes from over 20 years! Footage ranges from obscure promotional tapes, industrial videos, bodybuilding clowns, coughing snake handlers, public access TV weirdos, and friends you can rent – found at thrift stores and rescued from dumpsters across the country. It starts at 8:30 p.m. and admission is  $12.

Wednesday, October 21

  • Dilworth Park is hosting OctoberFest starting today through Saturday. This fall festival series will fill the park with a series of fun activities & games, plus a social 21+ Saultoberfest Beer Garden by ROSA BLANCA CAFÉ. A variety of vendors, great food and plenty of beer, DJs, and live music will spice up this party.

Thursday, October 22

  • Get ready for Glow in the Park! Show your love for Philadelphia parks during the 4th annual event to showcase Philly’s amazing parks, hosted by the Fairmount Park Conservancy. The glow will take place Glow in the Park from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Smith Memorial Arch 41st and Avenue of the Republic. It will be a night of music, food, drink, and special surprises!
  • It’s the Opening night of the Philadelphia Film Festival. It’s back for the 24th year and  will start off with a bang with Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson’s “Anomalisa.” The film is both a love story about a brief but intense connection between two people as well as a bittersweet tale of a man coming to terms with the ugliest parts of himself. Following the film screenings, join the Philadelphia Film society for the Opening Night Party at 10:00pm at the 1925 Lounge for food and drink.
  • The Academy of Music Pennsylvania Ballet’s 52nd Season opens up with expressive movement driven by epic music, called Speed and Precision. Tickets are now available! Performances will take place Thursday through Sunday, October 25th.

Friday, October 23

  • The Power 99 Powerhouse is back at the Wells Fargo Center! A collection of hip hop artists and R&B singers gather in Philly to perform as a part of local radio station, Power99 FM, biggest concert event of the year. At the Wells Fargo Center, featuring Kendrick Lamar, Omarion, Meek Mill, and many more!
  • Experience a night of madness and genius at “The Madness of Poeat the historic Strawberry mansion. This Halloween, the weird tales of Edgar Allan Poe come alive! In an isolated asylum, a group of inmates recounts to each other their strange stories of madness as their keeper displays them to a group of outside observers. Each tries to prove that he is most mad and a twisted game of one-upmanship begins. It starts tonight at runs from Oct. 24, 30, and 31st at 7 p.m.

Saturday, October 24

  • The festival of the year that everyone has been waiting for! The first-ever Cheesesteak Festival. Come and sample of over 40 vendors of cheesesteaks in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas!
  • The Mutt Strut is an annual tradition where dogs and the people who love them walk the scenic route in The Navy Yard to raise funds and awareness for PAWS’ efforts to save Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. Every Mutt Strut registrant receives a personalized fundraising page. Ask family, friends, and colleagues to support your efforts on behalf of Philadelphia’s homeless animals and bring us closer to becoming a no-kill city. Check-in opens at 9 a.m., the Strut kicks off at 11!
  • Light the Night is back at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This fundraising campaign hosted by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

Sunday, October 25

  • Lions and tigers and bears… and orangutans! It’s time for the Philadelphia Zoo‘s annual Halloween celebration, Boo at the Zoo. The nation’s first zoo will be a haven of Halloween fun. The eerie excitement happens each day from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Guests can enjoy tons of special programming and exhibits, like the not-too-scary Extinction Graveyard, complete with info about extinct and endangered species, and a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt. Boo at the Zoo is included with museum admission.
