The Foo Fighters kicked off their tour Monday night at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ with an amazing performance, and Kate was front and center for the entire show!

The Foo Fighters were recently forced to cancel the last leg of their European tour after lead singer Dave Grohl suffered an injury during a concert in Sweden on June 12. Grohl stumbled off the stage and landed feet first in the air and while doing so broke his fibula and dislocated his ankle. He penned a letter to fans apologizing for the cancelled tour dates and promising he would return soon to give them “a night to remember for the rest of your lives AS SOON AS POSSIBLE,” and Grohl definitely delivered!

Grohl, still injured, played his show rightfully sitting atop a custom-made thrown composed of various guitars, lights, and smoke machines. Also featured on the throne is a large, red circular headboard which proudly displays “FF,” seen behind Grohl’s head. (Fun fact about Grohl’s throne: Kate knows the man who has been shipping it from show to show!) This throne does not stop Grohl from rocking out though, and Foo fans loved the aesthetics of it. He gave a raw performance and joked throughout the set about his leg injury, even showing a video of his fall and pictures from the hospital.

The group played a 2 and a half hour set and performed some of their hit songs such as “Monkey Wrench,” “Everlong,” “All My Life,” and “My Hero.” They included some Queen and Van Halen covers, and sang one of their new songs “Something From Nothing.”

If you missed this concert, don’t worry! They will be returning to Camden’s Susquehanna Bank Center on Monday, July 13 and tickets are still available. This is one of the concerts you do not want to miss and will be one of the best shows coming to town this summer!
