Monday, June 22

  • Running through June 28 is the no frills, low-cost SoLow Fest, made up of DIY experimental shows in many different places throughout the city. Today you can catch an 18-monologue solo performance piece based on intimate interviews, exploring our ever-evolving relationships with our bodies in the face of many different factors. Tuesday, June 23

  • Grab a chair or blanket, get comfortable at Dilworth Park, and enjoy the next installment of Pictures in the Park! This week’s screening is of The Boxtrolls, a movie the whole family will love. The film starts at 8:30 p.m., at Dilworth Park at City Hall.
  • It’s not too late to get tickets to see D’Angelo and The Vanguard at the Keswick Theatre! His first time in Philadelphia since releasing his acclaimed Black Messiah album, D’Angelo will definitely put on a show you won’t want to miss. Click here for tickets, and the show begins at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, June 24

  • The Philadelphia Museum of Art debuts its highly anticipated, newest exhibit, Discovering the Impressionists: Paul Durand-Ruel and the New Painting. Come see world-famous Impressionist masterpieces and learn about the history and development of this beautiful painting style. The exhibit runs through September 13,and tickets can be purchased here.
  • Every Wednesday, head out to Dilworth Park near the fountains at City Hall for a weekly farmer’s market from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A few good picks that you can find there: fresh fruits and vegetables from New Jersey and bread from local Philly bakeries.
  • After you score some Dilworth Park Farmer’s Market finds, join WXPN 88.5 for their Live @ Lunch weekly concert series at Dilworth Park. This week’s local music showcase features Nathan & the Zydeco Cha-Chas. The concert is free and open to the public, and is from 12 – 1:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 25

  • From today through June 28, watch the Delaware River be transported back in time as more than a dozen international and domestic Tall Ships sail in for Tall Ships Philadelphia Camden 2015! Don’t miss your chance to see, step aboard, or even set sail on magnificent ships, and there will be plenty of festivities on the Camden and Philadelphia waterfronts as well.   • Watch Nino Rota’s iconic and haunting score of The Godfather come to life as it’s performed live by The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Mann Center. Conducted by Justin Freer, the live score performance will transform this screening of the Academy Award winning film. Tickets can be purchased here, and doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7:30 p.m.
  • Mingle with pro-athletes, reality stars, celebrities, and musicians all while supporting a great cause at the Hamels Foundation 6th Annual Diamonds and Denim Charity Event! Hosted by Phillies Pitcher Cole Hamels and his wife Heidi, this exclusive celebrity event will benefit local Philadelphia schools and education in Malawi, Africa. Don’t miss what will be a truly spectacular event! The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Vie, 600 North Broad Street, and tickets can be purchased here.

Friday, June 26

  • Support the Phillies when they take on the Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park! The game begins at 7:05 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.
  • Come see singer-songwriters Dar Williams and Jill Sobule for an unforgettable show at World Cafe Live. Both veteran stage performers have a unique, iconic sound that will make for an amazing show! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.

Saturday, June 27

  • Come out for one of the first Wawa Welcome America events: Family Day at The Shops at Liberty Place! From 12 – 4 p.m., enjoy family-friendly activities with arts and crafts, interactive activities, and more, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the first reading of “Alice In Wonderland” at The Shops at Liberty Place.
  • Don’t miss the Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons when they bring their SMOKE + MIRRORS TOUR to the Wells Fargo Center! The band’s rhythm-driven rock will have you dancing all night to their newest album SMOKE + MIRRORS, their first recorded in their new self-built home studio. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.

Sunday, June 28

  • Come for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get inside the mind of one of the world’s most renowned experimental theater makers, Ivo van Hove, who is visiting FringeArts to discuss his work After the Rehearsal/Persona coming to the 2015 Fringe Festival. This event, LIVE REMIX: Stage Adaptations in the New Media Age, includes a free screening of van Hove’s 2009 debut film, a discussion with the filmmaker, and more. The event is from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and you can register here.

  1. I’m so excited to go see the impressionists!! Every chance there is a show featuring impressionism I’m all over it! They are always so inspiring!!
