Monday, March 30

  • The Women of Philadelphia: A Documentary will be viewing in the City of Sisterly Affection. The documentary embraces the compelling stories of generations of women who lived, worked, fought for change, raised their families, and shaped Philadelphia. New Century Trust will host the documentary screening at 6:30 p.m. for only $3 admission.
  • Play in a Day Spring Workshops allows young performers to be immersed in fun and creative workshops. Kids in preschool through kindergarten will love the full day experience to get their creative juices flowing, and will present an original performance by the end of the day! The day starts from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the World Performing Arts Center with ticket prices ranging from $20-$65.
  • Enjoy an 8-course tasting menu of braised meats, dry rubs, slow roasted cuts of beef, bourbon, and high octane beers at World Cafe Live’s “Where’s The Beef? A Vegan Beer Dinner”. Tickets are $50 and the event starts at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, March 31

  • 30 drummers and dancers from Tamagawa University in Japan will perform at West Chester University at 7:30 p.m. Praised as one of the top-ranking taiko drumming and dance troupes in Japan, their stage show has received rave reviews from the New York Times. These students return to perform in the U.S. as part of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Philadelphia.

Wednesday, April 1

  • JoinLindsay Albanese, Celebrity Wardrobe Stylist and on-camera Style Expert, and 96.5 on-air Radio personality Bex at the Art in Bloom Fashion Show and After Party at Macy’s Center City. The event starts at 5 p.m. Snap a photo with Philadelphia’s sweetheart, Phoebe Phanatic, while you’re there!
  • Join some of the area’s finest singer-songwriters, including Laura Cheadle, Dan May, Patty Blee, Chuck Schaeffer, and Sol Knopf are playing at The Bluebird Returns to Philly event at World Cafe Live. Tickets are $12 advanced and $15 at the door.

Thursday, April 2

  • Rock On Philly presents Battle of the Bands to start your Spring off right! The line-up will include some of Philly’s freshest and finest musical acts, including: Nardo Lilly, Science Club, Ju-Taun, and RFA. The event will be hosted by ROP’s Editor-in-Chief Jennifer Logue and the set will take place at Milkboy. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
  • For 11 days only, Eastern State Penitentiary presents its third annual Pop-Up Museum! This year’s theme is “escapes”. View inmates’ homemade weapons and even some magazines that the public rarely gets to see. Tickets are available online and at the door.

Friday, April 3

  • Mole Street is bringing Jazz to The Library Bar at The Rittenhouse Hotel every Friday and Saturday night. Enjoy the smooth sounds of jazz contemporaries and classics as Master Mixologist Pablo “Papi” Hurtado mixes up something special. This weekend’s artist is Chelsea Reed & The Fair Weather Five.
  • Five experimental artists come together for the first time to share a stage and create an improvisational score for each other’s work in real-time. Don’t miss out on The World is a Screen at FringeArts, beginning at 8 p.m.

Saturday, April 4

  • The Hot Chocolate 15K/5K race will take place at the Art Museum starting at 6 a.m., followed by a sweet after party! The race is partnered with the Ronald McDonald house and works with each cities local chapter. Ticket prices range from $39-$74.
  • Immerse yourself in the murder mystery scavenger hunt at the Art Museum from 2 p.m – 4:30 p.m.! Gather answers about the art and crack a secret code to solve the murder. Ticket prices range from $32-$37 and include museum admission.

Sunday, April 5

  • Join the family fun on South Street at Philadelphia’s 84th Easter Promenade! Master of ceremonies Henri David returns to lead the parade from South Street and Passyunk Avenue, starting at 12:30 p.m. Enjoy treats and live music from the Philadelphia Freedom Band, dance in the Bunny Hop and meet Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cottontail this Easter.
