MANNA: Shut up & Dance

Landing-Page-Image1

Once a year, the dancers of the Pennsylvania Ballet turn emotion into movement for MANNA’s annual Shut Up & Dance one-night benefit performance. This year, dancers will be directed by principal dancer, Ian Hussey, as well as perform their own original pieces on Saturday, March 21 to show their support for those lost from the HIV/AIDS virus. There is expected to be 1,600 audience members filling the seats of Forrest Theatre this year.

MANNA, the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance, volunteers prepare and deliver nourishing meals, counseling and hope to people suffering from life-threatening illnesses, in hopes to improve their health and quality of life. MANNA volunteers deliver three meals a day, seven days a week- free of charge.

Steven Korman, founding partner of The Korman Company and Chairman of MANNA, will host the pre-performance VIP Party from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Forrest Theatre downstairs area. The performance will kick off at 8 p.m., and will immediately be followed by an after- party at Lounge and Sports Bar, Tabu Philly.

Sponsors of this year’s benefit include Zurich, Valley Green Bank, 6abc and WXPN. Click here to be a part of this night of honor by purchasing tickets or donating to MANNA. Ticket prices range from $25 to $100 (depending on your seat selection).
