Bid on Designer Purses for a Good Cause at OIC Auction This Saturday

The Opportunities Industrialization Center* (OIC) is a non-profit organization focused on “helping people help themselves.” This Saturday, February 7th from 3 – 6 p.m., the OIC will be hosting their first purse auction fundraiser, called “Show Off Your Purse-N-ality” at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (1201 Market St).

Throughout this event, there will be an auction of chic, high-end designer handbags, live music, door prizes and hourly raffles for entertainment. No one is to leave empty handed! Of course, wine, and hors d’oeuvres will be served for guests to pick on as they auction to win big. All proceeds from this special event will go to support OIC of America.

The OIC of America has grown into a movement that has served over 2.5 million disadvantaged and under-skilled people on a national level. Their program strives to help prepare people for today’s work force with the skills and resources needed to achieve economic success.

Special guests include OIC of America President Tony Ross, OIC’s Founders’ daughter Hope Sullivan,  Author and Entrepreneur Kevin Carr, Host and Activist Syreeta Martin, and Radio Personality and Author Envy McKee!   Also, Crystal Bryant former OIC student will speak about her success of becoming Head Chef at Philadelphia restaurant XIX (NINETEEN).
