Upcoming Concerts in Philadelphia: February Edition

February is a month of many gifts. Punxsutawney Phil presents us with his decision of when Spring will come; lovers shower us with chocolates and affection. This February, we have a present for you – the first installment of Philly PR Girl’s monthly music preview! Each month, we will be providing you with the top music concerts coming up within the next few weeks, we get ready to mark your calendars. Here’s a little February music medley to get you excited about tons of musical ventures for you embark on this year.

50 Cent, the man who brought you the classic “Candy Shop” will be throwing down verses at Philly’s own Electric Factory on the eve of Valentine’s Day (February 13)! This leader of the East Coast hip hop group G-Unit will be joined Kidd Kidd, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck. This event is all ages, so everyone is welcome to join in and vibe to Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

The Wells Fargo Center will be rocking on February 18 to the tunes of Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Tyga! Double platinum recording artist scheduled this special stop on his tour and has plans to bump his 2014 album “X” as well as his classics including the Youtube hit “Forever.” We’re ready to get lost in Chris Brown’s jaw-dropping dance moves and mesmerizing voice!

February 19 brings a special treat to the Philadelphia area. Best known for her feature on Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Go Bad,” Leighton Meester has broken out as a solo artist and will be headlining at The Trocadero! Let your hair down to Meester’s intoxicating voice as she belts out her first single “Somebody to Love” and many more. Tickets are only $22 – a steal for an exciting night out with this Gossip Girl!

Electric Factory is bringing a three-day special to Philly music heads. The Disco Biscuits will be headlining this two-story venue three nights in a row! From February 19 through 21, attendees can rock with the band before they head off to the world famous Red Rocks Ampitheatre in April. For megafans, a three-day pass is available for under $115. Make a night out of this chill jam band – or a whole weekend!

Who’s up for an NYC trip? Florida Georgia Line is hitting Madison Square Garden on February 25!  Country lovers will be gathering from all corners for this QUADRUPLE PLATINUM, yes quadruple, recording group! The breakout duo that brought you the summer hit “Cruise” is about to blow New York City out of the water.
