#GivingTuesdayPHL

We all love Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, but the best day this holiday week is actually Giving Tuesday. #GivingTuesday is a simple idea: find a way for your family, your community, your organization to come together to give something more on this national charitable day.

Not only are you giving back to a cause that matters to you, but it’s also an opportunity for nonprofits to inspire donors and educate them about their mission. If you can’t “give” money, try to think outside the box. Donate blood (to the Red Cross), supplies (to PAWS, Red Paw Relief Team or ConKerr Cancer) or your time by volunteering.   There’s even a local magazine, Philly Current, running is a brand new charity initiative – in the form of a huge gift basket raffle that a large portion of the proceeds go to the Child Life Department at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Pledge your support and donate to one or more of your favorite local charities and nonprofits.  Here are a few of our favorites:

ActionAIDS

Bethesda Project

ConKerr Cancer

Delaware Valley Legacy Fund

Entrepreneur Works

MANNA

MS Society

PAWS

Philabundance

Red Cross

Red Paw Emergency Relief Team

The Food Trust
