Monday, October 27th

  • Design Home 2014: 2014 marks Philadelphia magazine’s 13th Design home! This year, the design home is nestled amongst the Tudor homes of Wyndmoor, PA. Join Philly Mag in the creation of this exceptional home with 100% of the ticket proceeds benefiting MANNA. Ticket prices are $25, and the house tours are open until November 16th.   • 200th Anniversary Art Exhibition: The 200th Exhibition is a juried competition which invited many artists to submit work featuring historic properties, landmarks and/or places listed on the National Register of Historic places in our very own Philadelphia! Visit the Athenaeum of Philadelphia, located on 6th street, and try to see if you recognize all of the monumental places in our beloved city! For more information, visit their website!

Tuesday, October 28th

  • The Bronzed Bee Witches Night Out: Come out to The Bronzed Bee for complimentary waxing’s by the Bee’s themselves! Discounted spray tans are also up for grabs along with complimentary chair massages done by Nicole DeLaurentis of Body Shop Chiropractic! Stella and Dot jewelry will be on display, showcasing their newest and stylish pieces. B Wilson of Just B Beautiful, will be applying the smoky eye look to all attendants! Wednesday, October 29th

  • Think Local, Give Local Gala 2014: Held at the Kimmel Center, starting at 6:30 pm, this gala is known as one of the most anticipated events of the fall season. Jose Garces personally curates the event by selecting a prestigious lineup of local chefs all ready to deliver an unforgettable edible experience!   • “Great Expectations” Presented by Arden Theatre: Charles Dickens’ classic coming of age novel springs to life on the Arden Theatre stage! Six actors play over 40 characters, showcasing serious transformations, and amazing acting abilities! Tickets are $36-$50 for adults, and $15 for teens.  Thursday, October 30th

  •  Run For Your Life: Philadelphia Runners are bracing themselves for Run4UrLife which is the regions spookiest 3K Fun Run through a historical cemetery. This scary fun run benefits local nonprofit, MANNA. Registration begins at 6pm, and the run starts at 7pm. The cost of the run is $30 and includes a t-shirt!   • Kimmel Center: Mahler’s “Resurrection”: The composer had a close association with The Philadelphia Orchestra! The ‘Resurrection’ Symphony is another major choral work, popular in his lifetime, exploring the themes of life and death.   • Mischief Night at Penn6: Come enjoy some mischief on mischief night at 114 South 12th street on the corner of 12th and Sansom st from 9pm-2am! If you’d like to participate in pumpkin carving it starts at 9pm! For more information, click here! 

 Friday, October 31st – Happy Halloween!  

  • Hippo Haven at Adventure Aquarium: Camden’s largest residents, hippopotamuses Button and Genny, invite you to join them in their exciting new home, Hippo Haven! Adventure Aquarium is the only aquarium in the world with hippos on exhibit, so be sure to stop by, and bring the family! Tickets range from $18.95-$25.95 but give you access to the whole aquarium.
  • Henry V at The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre: This play is the sequel to Shakespeare’s Henry IV and we meet Prince Henry as a young a undisciplined man, frequenting bars and using his unique charm on everyone. Come see this take on Henry V, playing until November 16th on a variety of dates, at the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre. Ticket prices range from $20-$35 and shows start at 7pm.  Saturday, November 1st

  • 38th Annual Muge Lithuanian Fair: Starting at noon, and continuing until 8pm, celebrate Lithuania’s rich cultural heritage in Philadelphia! Enjoy two incredible days of live music, folk dancing, and family fun! Eat traditional Lithuanian food, and sip some of Lithuania’s favorite brews.   • Treasures Jewelry Sale & Show: A perfect compliment to the Penn Museums prized collections of jewels, textiles and accessories from around the world, this 3-day sale and show is a must see!  Sunday, November 2nd

  • 3rd Genderation Project “Fall into Fashion, Fashion Show: 3rd Genderation Project is a movement that allows versatility creativity and self expression, by bridging gaps, and breaking down barriers and allowing individuals to be themselves and display their art!
