Monday, October 6th

  • Boobie Bingo – Every Monday night in October, The Irish Pol hosts ‘Boobie Bingo’ and raises money and awareness for breast cancer.   This is such a fun event and 100% of the proceeds go to The Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund.

Tuesday, October 7th

  • After years of hard work and collaboration between the Philadelphia Water Department, Philadelphia Parks and Recreations, and the Manayunk community, Venice Island will open to the public! October 7th at 11:00am is the official opening and ribbon cutting event to celebrate the completion of the Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation Center.

Wednesday, October 8th

  • Shecky’s Girls Night Out – Always a good time Shecky’s is back at 23rd Street Armory.  Get pampered with beauty services, new designers, new sponsors, new complimentary  cocktails and goodie bags!
  • PRSA Philadelphia Fall Happy Hour – From 5:30 to 7:30pm meet and greet fellow PR professional at The Gaslight in Old City.
  • Paramount Pictures, Stephanie Humphrey (Tech-Life Expert), and Prestige Concepts, Presents: Men, Women & Children Advance Movie Screening and Social Media Discussion. Following the movie: Join Stephanie Humphrey, Tech-Life Expert with special guests for a post discussion on social media “Til Death Do You Tweet”. Thursday, October 9th

  • Rock On Philly presents Songwriters in the Round at The Tin Angel to benefit the National MS Society!   The Philly PR Girl crew will be there supporting this amazing night filled with talented musicians.
  • Do you love Philadelphia’s parks? GLOW in the Park is the Fairmount Park Conservancy’s 3rd annual event to showcase Philly’s amazing parks and build the next generation of park champions.  The event runs from 6pm til 9pm at the Strawberry Mansion Music Pavilion.
  • Philadelphia is home to an incredibly vibrant and ever-growing creative culture, and few events celebrate its resonance like DesignPhiladelphia, the annual city-wide festival, which is set to return for its 10th anniversary year October 9-17.

Friday, October 10th

  • The last Pinot Boutique and Patriot Harbor Lines Sunset Wine Cruise –  This particular class is entitled ‘Bubbilicious, The World of Sparkling Wines’ and leave the dock promptly at 7pm!
  • Parade of Sail – The kickoff event of the Old City Seaport Festival – Independence Seaport Museum will host its 3rd Annual Old City Seaport Festival, a weekend-long event featuring Tall Ships, antique and classic wood boats, ship models, sea chanties, vendors, face painting, moon bounce and activities along the waterfront.
  • Game of Thrones – Burlesque is Coming hits the Trocadero.  Blacklist Burlesque producer Moxie LaBouche has assembled a sultry and sexy, fun and farcical take on the characters from HBO’s hit show “Game of Thrones.”

Saturday, October 11th

  • The Philadelphia Fashion Incubator takes over BUS STOP Boutique!  Meet the designers, shop, and sip!
  • Philadelphia County Fair at The Oval – Ferris wheel, wine, cider, film screenings, live bands, and much more!
  • The Nick and Knight Tour –  NKOTB’s Jordan Knight and BSB’s Nick Carter team up at the Trocadero Theater for a night of classics!
  • Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (Sat & Sun) –  It’s the largest tour of artist studios and creative workspaces in the region and one of the premier open studio tour events in the country.
  • Breast Fest Save the girls when The Tyanna Foundation hosts Breast Fest at Mad River Bar & Grille in Manayunk!  Five hours of bands, beverages, & food! Tickets are available for purchase at tyanna.org and all proceeds go to the Fox Chase Breast Cancer Center.

Sunday, October 12th

  •  The Bellvue Gets Engaged – Head over to the Hyatt at the Bellvue from 12pm til 4pm for an all-inclusive wedding event experience for the most fashionable bride and grooms-to-be.
  • OutFest 2014 – The largest National Coming Out Day event and it’s annual block party embraces the GLBT lifestyle and freedom.
  • Are you ready for some foodball?  The Eagles take on the Giants right here in South Philly!
