Here’s whats going on this week in Philly…

Monday, September 29th

  • Monday Movie Night at the Troc – This week’s move is Neighbors.   Doors open at 6:30 pm and the movie starts at 8 pm.  $3 gets you in and goes toward a drink or snack.  It’s such a fun night!
  • The 4th annual Ramen Rumble kicks off at 6pm at Cheu Noodle Bar – Top Chef winner and Laurel Restaurant owner/chef Nick Elmi  goes up against Vernick Food & Drink’s Greg Vernick.  The event costs $25, which gets you two ramen bowls and a beer… plus you get to help decide on the winner!

Tuesday, September 30th

  • Kiesza at the TLA – Kiesza is a singer-songwriter from Calgary, and is also an in-demand songwriter for acts across the globe. She puts together her own stunning artwork, is a trained ballerina, and is a former tall-ship sailor who the Army once attempted to train as a sniper.

Wednesday, October 1st

  • SOLD OUT – City Fit Girls Club Cardio Bootcamp and Apparel Launch Party
  • Main Line Fashion Runway Show – Come out to Immaculate University and see the latest trends on the runway from your favorite Main Line Boutiques.

Thursday, October 2nd

  • Food Trust’s Night Market is back in Chinatown and is a celebration of food, drink,  and the host neighborhood. Walk over to 10th and Race – the event goes from 7 -11 pm.
  • The 4th Annual ADCP Battle of the Agency Bands  – Stop by Boot & Saddle and watch Philadelphia’s advertising agencies are called upon to assemble in the spirit of ROCK to compete for the coveted title “Agency of Rock”.
  • Ya Gotta Try This Tasting Party with Mike Jerrick and the whole Fox 29 team!  The night will be filled with the city’s most unforgettable bites and sips from two dozen top chefs and restaurants.

Friday, October 3rd

  • Art After 5 at The Philadelphia Museum of Art presents BalletX from 5 – 8:45 pm. The Great Stair Hall is transformed into an intimate cabaret for the first Friday of every month.
  • POP! THE PARTY – Head over to Bus Stop Boutique (727 S. 4th St)  from 6 – 10 pm for the premiere of POP!  THE PARTY presented by Fashion Illustrator Denise Fike and Cut & Paste Photo Booth. Vendors such as Di Bruno Bros, Pinot Boutique will join in on the fun.
  • Monster Jam at the Wells Fargo Center – This fun live motorsport show is a must see for the whole family!

Saturday, October 4th

  • 6th Annual Charlie Brown Pumpkin Beer Festival at the Institute Bar –  This years tap list will consist of over 90 pumpkin beers, ciders, lambics and sours.
  • Midtown Village welcomes everyone to their neighborhood for their Annual Fall Festival featuring a unique enclave of independent, open minded, boutiques, restaurants and shops.
  • Nick’s Roast Beef in Old City announces the return of the 2nd Annual Bacon and Beer Fest.  Last year, hundreds of people flocked to Old City for an afternoon of a bacon-centric menu with early fall beer releases.
  • Saved By The 90’s Party with Bayside Tigers is back at The Trocadero! Dust off your ripped jeans and doc martins and get ready to party and dance to your favorite grunge / boy band / hip hop songs!
  • Bye Bye Liver: The Philadelphia Drinking Play at Urban Saloon – Drunken friends, over-served basket cases, pushy bouncers and all of the other hallmarks of bar culture collide in the hilarious, booze-fueled sketch comedy of this performance.

Sunday. October 5th

  • Philly Mag Shops is a collection of Philadelphia’s top boutiques and special vendors that come together one day only!  The event at the Crane Arts Building will also have lunch, champagne, braids bars nail, art, and so much more!
  • Head down to South Philly and watch the Eagles vs. Rams! Looking for a good tailgate? Head over to the Phan Cave!
  • Philly Food & Wine Pairing at Pinot Boutique – Ever wonder which wines pair with a Philly soft pretzel or Tastycake krimpets?  You’ll find out and learn so much more in the Pinot Wine Cellar!
  • Jazz Star Kurt Elling: One of the world’s foremost jazz vocalists will hit the Kimmel Center stage at 7:30 pm to perform his Grammy award-winning music.
